It was charming and lovely, just as described, with Windsor Castle very close by. We got there too late for food (after 9 pm) but they gave us ideas for food nearby (The Brasserie was wonderful!). The bed was comfy. Bathroom very small but this was built in 1753 so my expectations were that it would be so. Full English breakfast was amazing and filling. I only wish we didn’t arrive so late due to flight delays. Coffee shop across the street is lovely and friendly!

The pub was unique and free parking was a real bonus. Breakfast very good. Floor boards very creaky ( but the place is @ 400 years old!) also you could hear the noise from the bar particularly at weekend.

Property was clean and comfortable, and really convenient for walking into Windsor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking was convenient. Only lost a star as the Vodafone phone signal in Windsor is rubbish and the internet in the property was intermittent (more often than not there was no signal). Easily sorted in the day with all the local coffee shops, but not ideal. That said, it was great value for money and I’d happily stay again.

Average at best, the rooms are clean and have been modernised. Just not finished to a great standard. Tv was tiny and the noise from the bar was annoying. Not soundproofed. The guy at the bar gave me the wrong key so I ended up being locked out of my room at 11pm. Nobody answered the phone until I texted,

Good location.....comfortable bed...good bedding. But .....scruffy and ragged. Very unloved outside...you'd walk past as a result. You can excuse the room paintwork issues as more heavy duty maintenance I guess.....but not the very rusty toilet roll dispenser/holder, the 3 odd hangers in the wardrobe and the delaminated shelf (that is the only shelf for anything and everything. These are simole items that should be/have been picked up and sorted. No drawer and/or shelf storage....so those 3 only hangers were a particular bugbear.

What i liked: Perfect location, free parking ( this is a real asset as parking in Windsor and Eton is astronomical), really friendly staff, delicious breakfast included in the price, comfy bed, good quality bed linen, availability of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Not so good: two flights of stairs to access bedrooms and very sloping floors ( difficult for me as i have a disability); a lot of noise from the street in the early hours( no double glazing because the property is very old); a lot of debris under the bed eg someone's fake nail/ ear plug etc ( but everywhere else was spotlessly clean); light above basin didnt work; no shelf in shower for soap, shampoos etc. Room 7 is very small - no chair to sit on and very difficult to get to the window to open and shut it because its behind the bed. Fire door was ill-fitting - gaps between door and frame which would render it ineffective as a fire door. Overall i did enjoy my stay but a few improvements are needed in room 7 and i think the website should make it clear that the hotel is not disability friendly

Stayed 2 nights. Didn't want an 'office block' hotel, wanted somewhere with character and charm, both of which The Crown and Cushion have in spades. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty and ample. Easy walking distance of Windsor Centre, the castle and the railway station. Easy (and free) parking, so could leave the car and explore at leisure. A marvelous stay.

If you want a glitzy modern hotel this isn’t for you. But if you want the most charming old inn and pub with extremely friendly staff and the best fish and chips in the greater London area, this is for you!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food great. The antiquity of the hotel is part of it's charm but people with mobility problems should be aware of the need to climb stairs.

Awesome location with a 500 year history! If you're looking for a charming, historic inn with an updated bathroom and comfortable room that is easily walkable to Windsor Castle, then this is your best choice! The staff was most attentive and friendly. The cooked to order full English breakfast and free parking were great perks. This inn and the surrounding High street of Eton helped create a truely authentic and unique English experience. It's a must stay if visiting Windsor Castle. The road directions can be a bit tricky, but don't let that discourage you.

This was a last minute booking as the friends we were supposed to stay with before our flight from Heathrow were sick. Kinda just picked this place based on location and were not disappointed. Friendly staff on arrival, excellent breakfast and checkout experience in the morning. In between the bed was comfortable and the shower hot and strong. No complaints.

Excellent Little Hotel
Hotel is in an excellent location. I would describe the rooms as "quirky" due to the age of the hotel - lots of sloping floors etc! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay there again.

I chose the Crown and Cushion Eton for its prime location and charm. I was NOT disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful, check in was easy and they assisted me with a few other out of the norm requirements without a fuss. The room was as described in the advert and pictures. It was clean and tidy, the towels were big and soft and fresh. Oddly, for a 'pub mattress' I actually had the best nights sleep in weeks! I'm looking forward to going back. I also had dinner, the portion was so generous that I couldn't finish it although it was so delicious I did give it a try. Easy walking distance over the Themes (literally a 2 min walk to the river) to the Windsor Castle.

Over 200 year old inn
Excited to stay in this inn doing business since George III ruled England. Very clean, but very old. You need place to stay the night. Ask Room 3. Has a very small sitting room overlooking the street. A great place to watch daily life go by.

Anniversary Break
After a slight misunderstanding regarding the parking situation, we were made to feel extremely welcome. The room was great, albeit a bit tight in the shower. The staff throughout the 3 days were fantastic. Great breakfast and good choice of bar drinks. In a fantastic location. Will strongly recommend to family and friends as a lovely place to stay in a lovely and historic town.

This is a quaint old pub with rooms that are old but very clean. Floors are all crooked and that is charming for us but if we were older, I might not have stayed. It was fabulous and we would definitely return.
