“Not impressed”
The hotel is very far from Downtown London and charging us a ridiculous amount for Internet for such a big chain of hotel Internet should be included. And with the charge of per days stay no continental breakfast was offered.
“Misleading location”
Be aware, there are 2 other Marriott hotels in the area... a second one named Marriott Heathrow! Ensure you are making the reservation at the right hotel, otherwise you are in for a headache. Free Shuttle only runs to Marriott Heathrow NOT Marriot Heathrow Windor.
“Will definitely stay here again”
Great value for money. Extremely easy access to the motorway and Heathrow. Everything at the hotel was of the highest standard. Food in restaurants was excellent, and it was wonderful to see so many happy & smiling staff! We will definitely stay at this hotel again when looking for an airport hotel.
“Good hotel near Heathrow”
This was a comfortable and convenient hotel for the night before our flight home.
“Good price on the weekends.”
the Expedia price on the weekends was excellent. the one downside of the hotel is that the prices for breakfast and other meals are very high, and they don't tell you about other alternatives in the neighborhood.
“OK but not worth a return”
Hotel was acceptable though the heat/AC in the meeting rooms was horrid and they apparently save money by not heating the public restrooms in the winter. Biggest complaint is the obscene $25/day charge for internet! (15GBP to be precise). On the bright side the Hoppa bus for 4 GBP to the airport isn't bad. The taxi charge is $100 (60GBP) from the airport because it's "out of zone", and return taxi from hotel to airport was 25GBP for the 20 minute ride... Beware taxi's from the hotel to other locations - the charge was 40% higher than the return trip - can't say for sure someone gets a kickback but it smells funny...
“Very good location”
This hotel is really good when you've just come off a long flight. The surrounding suburbs are really pretty and not too far to walk
“Great Hotel”
This is a very nice hotel to stay in with friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable and comes with a tea/coffee maker which was convenient for us. There is a great buffet breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. The only downside was that it was quite a distance from Heathrow airport so it might not be an ideal location if you're planning to visit inner city London. The hopper bus system is available to transport customers Bus H55 from Terminal 5, Bus H5 from Terminals 1 & 2 at Heathrow to the hotel and vice versa for 4 pounds each way. Alternatively, you could ride the local bus and get off at the stop opposite Toby's Pub/Grill. A local bus, #77 transported us to Windsor town center where Windsor Castle is located only a 20 min ride away. There's a convenience store just up High Street, past Toby's Grill, if needed.
“Not Impressed”
On arrival, the hotel was poorly lit and not welcoming. No one at the car park, no one at the main entrance, no signs, no security, confusing lay-out. Recommendation for hotel: After a long drive, your guests would appreciate better lighting, more signage, a warmer welcome. Inside, the hotel looked dated, used and truly felt like an 'airport' hotel. We waited a while before someone showed up at the front desk and there was no queuing system. Recommendation: Make a queue so guests are served on first-come first-serve basis. Otherwise, it's annoying. Customer service can be improved. The hotel layout was odd. We zig-zagged our way through many corridors and doors before reaching our room. The room was very disappointing and not properly cleaned. The bathroom was dirty, old, stained and rusty. Water pressure and drainage in the shower was very poor. The cups, kettle, TV, tables were all dusty. I didn't want to take off my shoes! Thankfully, the room was a good size and the bed sheets were clean. All I wanted to do was sleep and get the night over with. At check-in, I was asked if I wanted a newspaper but it was never delivered. We were charged £1 for a 'charitable donation' on our final bill. It's odd to just get charged and not know for who. Breakfast was very expensive. We paid a lot for just eggs, toast and coffee. It's a large dining room and had many families so it did get noisy. We had to ask for coffee refills & chase for the bill. Be aware that parking is extra.
“Very comfortable stay”
We had a great stay here the rooms and bathrooms were very clean and updated . the beds were very comfortable. not as close to heathrow airport as we thought it would be and the shuttle to all the airport hotels was not free. breakfast was very good and lots of variety. the staff were very pleasant and helpfull..we would stay here again
