Well located for travellers
A perfectly located hotel if, like me, you arrive in Bergamo quite late and want the convenience of a decent place to stay close to the bus and train stations. My room was spacious and comfortable, although it was a little “tired”. If you’re staying in Bergamo or heading onto Milan or another place then this hotel is a great choice.

This is my go to place every time I fly in to Bergamo. For a short break it’s a great location. Close to the train station and close enough to get to the Citta Alta on foot. For the less energetic there is a good bus service. It’s clean, comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Excellent choice at breakfast.

Don't accept any of the 001-004 rooms. They are in the back of the house, literally on top of a bank and so noisy it seems you sleep on the side of the road. Strong window and floor insulation needed to be guest acceptable. For 160 euro/night uou get way better than that. Breakfast supplies are slow and no cappuccino available on the machine. Poor experience, probably the worse Mercure I've ever been

We stayed here due to travelling around Italy, it’s close to the train station and there are many restaurants around! The hotel was nice and the staff really pleasant and helpful

The hotel was clean, comfortable, close to the train and down town. The beds were very comfortable, but did not have top sheets, only the duvets, which for me are too warm. The only odd thing was the face towels were cloth dishtowels, not the fluffy towels I'm used to. The breakfast buffet was very good, if you like a big breakfast, which I normally don't have - but it was worth the money.

This hotel has had a makeover since we last stayed there. Rooms and bathrooms have been updated and look really well. New carpets in the hallways and public areas make a huge difference. Breakfast room a bit small and crowded for the number using it especially around the buffet area. A second coffee machine is essential as long queues built up.

Overall very nice hotel. We liked the location with a lot of options for restaurants and shops. We had issues with AC. Although weather was 3-10 Celsius, we could not bring temperature in the room below 25Celsius. AC control was non operational and kept the room in heating mode, likely wasting lot of energy. In room Refrigerator was small and just refreshing, not cooling. Breakfast was great with a lot of options and very yummy. Room service was very poor - we do not recommend pizzas

We love this hotel. It is so convenient to shopping, cafes, and sights, but also close enough to walk to the main train station and where the airport bus stops. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, and the breakfast room is classy. Breakfast is always very nice, with lots of selection. But, the best thing- by far- is that the staff are so courteous and efficient, and quick with a smile and to address any issues that might arise. Bravo!!

It is such a lovely business hotel. It is so close to the train station, and also is located on a main street for shopping and transit to the upper city. breakfast is lovely, and the service is always excellent.

Much improved hotel decor.
This hotel has been updated since our last stay and rooms and corridors are much more attractive and brighter. Carpets have been replaced and walls painted . Breakfast is adequate. Our problem this time was poor Wi-Fi. We had to get a special code from reception, but even then it only worked intermittently, sometimes not at all.

Nice Clean Hotel
2nd stay at this hotel. Very convenient for parking. A nice walk up to the funicular to go up to the Old Town. Hotel is what you would expect from a Mecure. Clean, modern, stylish. Good breakfast and helpful staff.

I arrived very late at the hotel. The gentleman on reception knew I was arriving and was VERY helpful. The first room I was put in was not suitable. It was one of the old rooms and air con was broken. The kind and most understanding gent did everything he could to accommodate me. He really went the extra mile and I only wish I could remember his name

Great location, very helpful staff and the rooms are spacious, clean, with fridge tv and with good air-con. We would definitely recommend the breakfast. Only one issue no English speaking tv channels. We would highly Recommend this hotel to everyone and Look forward to visiting the hotel and city again very soon.

This hotel is in very poor condition. The carpets are stained, dirty and threadbare. Internet was frequently offline. There was a giant TV in the room but it faced the wall and was not connected to any service. We expected more from a Mercure property and did not get the value of what we paid.

Tried to check in and hotel was closed due to a fire 4 days earlier and I wasn’t informed until I turned up at the door and then got a call from hotels.com to inform me not great comms . Eventually managed to get in for my last as I wasn’t happy with alternate hotel and the carpet and a chair really dirty , also had to wait about 2 hours to check in when I was told previous day just come down and you will get checked in really angry about my stay in bergamo and for a special birthday stay too ruined the holiday .

Convenient and comfortable but needs redecoration.
Convenient location and comfortable enough (in the end), but badly needs redecoration in the public spaces. Had to ask for a change of room as the first one had broken window glass and a broken and unusable curtain in front of it. Not good! Second room was fine, though the balcony had not been cleaned for some time.
