Good overall time, beds al little hard but otherwise a nice stay. Nice location with plenty of space, just a 10 minute walk to the sea front.

Ideal for Benidorm Palace

Posted 03-Mar-2015
Pros: Location near Benidorm Palace. Room size. Bath and shower. Cleanliness. Tranquility considering only just out of nightlife area. Drink prices good.
Cons: Lower cost of eating in hotel for small portion eaters.
Location: Short walk. to Benidorm Palace for show. Walking distance to Levante beach and nightlife.
The main purpose of the trip to Benidorm was to go to the Benidorm Palace which was a brilliant experience. The Melia hotel put the icing on the cake. A short walk away from the Palace so no taxi needed. Far enough away from the club life of Levante beach to be quiet yet within walking distance if that is your scene. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom with Bath and shower excellent. Could have done with kettle / tea / coffee making facilities but prices in bar for drinks reasonable so no big deal. Breakfast a little overpriced at 13 Euros. We are not big eaters so all inclusive and buffet style meals at this price no good for us. All in all thoroughly recommended.

Beaucoup de possibilités pour se dévertir

Posted 27-Feb-2015
Pros: Piscine et sauna
Cons: règles pour le sauna
Location: Benidorm. Plage. Marché
Piscine couverte agréable. Sauna merveilleux. Beaucoup de clients all inclusive, mais pour les hôtes payants les prix du buffet sont assez elevés.

Nice Hotel

Posted 30-Jan-2015
Pros: Clean with nice staff
Cons: more information in the rooms about the available facilities
Location: A short walk to the sea front and close to Benidorm indoor market. Benidorms answer to Greggs Bakery here in UK is just across the road.
It takes a while to find your way around the hotel as it is so large. Staff are very obliging and will do anything for you. We had a room on the first floor which had a wet room ideal if you have a disability. We found the dining room food good for the first few nights and then it seems to go down hill. Breakfasts were good didn't try any lunches but the food served in the bar was very nice and freshly cooked. Had an hour long massage in Spa which was very relaxing. The shop has some very nice stock and is well worth a visit as it has quality clothing for men and women. If you are intending to visit the indoor pool make sure you have flip flops and a swim hat as you will not be able to use it without these. We didn't try the entertainment as it started quite late in the evening for us. There is a cash point in the foyer which is useful.

Ideally situated

Posted 23-Jan-2015
Pros: Staff, location cleanliness.
Cons: Tea facilities in room, sky news on tele, but that is picky.
Location: Lots bars walkable to restaurants, shops, spar close by, supermarket opposite, parking free if parked on ramp. Wifi was complementary for one day,
This was the second time I stayed here in two weeks, been with my husband and then my elderly mother, excellent location. For both stays. Walkable to the many lively bars, walkable to the Benidorm palace. Great pool that gets the sun, although did not swim in January, I had the breakfast option, very nice, full range for all taste,s just booked again for one night in February. Very pleasant staff very helpful.

Smart hotel near the back of Benidorm

Posted 02-Jan-2015
Pros: We liked just about everything about the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large sun trap of a balcony
Cons: Possibly the ground floor loos, which other users hadn't treated particularly well
Location: The Melia is close to the Benidorm Palace, where you can book to go for a very good four course meal and the brilliant show, or just the show itself.
We went for a winter sun break and chose to stay at the Melia, where the facilities are excellent. It was a bit cold outside so we didn't use the outside pool, but we did use the lovely inside pool, and the jacuzzi, and if we wanted to, we could have taken advantage of the gym next door or had a spa treatment while we were in the pool area. However, having gone there to enjoy the warmer climate and almost constant sunshine, we chose to sunbathe on the balcony each morning, then walk down to the beach and promenade each afternoon to try and work off some of the huge buffet breakfast we'd eaten in the restaurant. Interestingly there were more Spanish people at the hotel than English, and I take this as a good sign, because it means the locals rate this hotel as highly as we do. We found the staff to be very friendly, and most of them spoke good English as well, so it saved me from some embarrassment at not being able to speak Spanish, although my wife can speak a little, and with her help we managed quite well, and got on well with everyone we met. Although the Melia is near the back of the resort, this had the advantage of being close to the Benidorm Palace, where we went for a four course meal and the brilliant EFEX show. I can't rate this show highly enough, and I think the Melia should do a package deal of a week at the hotel, with a trip to the Benidorm Palace show thrown in for an all inclusive price. I think they'd sell out very quickly indeed!

Very good hotel in a fairly quieter part of town.

Posted 29-Dec-2014
Cons: When I booked my stay I was led to believe that breakfast was included in the deal but this was not the case when I registered though the receptionist
Location: Close to entertainment bars and Benidorm Palace
Very good hotel with excellent facilities. Room was comfortable and clean. Would stay there again.
