an outstanding stay at a very reasonable price.... just didnt have time enough to enjoy all their amenities
“Pleasant Staff, good food.”
Staff at the Chancery Pavillion are always very polite - sometimes perhaps a little too polite a little too often. On the Plus side, the food is good and well presented, the pool is clean, there's a well equipped gym with Fitness Trainers who will guide you through a workout, and it's located in a quieter part of town. On the Minus side, the pool area gets shadowed as the sun hides behind the hotel after 11:30am, so if you want to sun yourself by the pool, do it before lunch! Rooms on the front suffer traffic noise, rooms on the back suffer the endless stream of music at weekends until about midnight. The rooms themselves could do with a bit of updating, e.g. new carpets etc, but the linen is changed daily so that at least is clean. I found the location perfect for my stay as it was only a 15 minute walk to the office, and about the same into town where the rest of the tourists tend to congregate. Overall, despite a few minor issues, I find the hotel relaxing and very friendly. It may not be the best hotel in Bangalore, but it's far from being the worst.

Rooms are good with free Internet access. Ithaca restaurant has great food - from complimentary breakfast to reasonably priced dinner buffet

Ich bin in diesem Hotel im Zuge einer Dienstreise für 6 Wochen untergekommen. Ein absolutes k.o. Kriterium für dieses Hotel ist für mich das unzuverlässige Internet. An manchen Tagen (ca. 2-3 pro Woche) war es garnicht zu erreichen und selbst wenn man Zugang hatte, war die Verbindung sehr sehr langsam. Sofern man auch Arbeit aus dem Hotel heraus plant, sollte man sich besser nach einem anderen Hotel umsehen! Sauberkeit und Service ist in Ordnung, wobei man den Service in einem Arbeitszeugnis wohl als "bemüht" bezeichnen würde.
