We stayed at the Red Lion Bellevue instead of staying in Seattle during a busy, expensive weekend. It's super close to the highway and easy to get to, both by driving and by cab. Staff was quite flexible with some changes to our reservation, and the rooms were incredibly comfortable - I've had more issues with beds/pillows in higher starred hotels, but I slept like a baby at the Red Lion.
Short freeway ride to Downtown Bellevue which is large beautiful with good restaurant options. Would definitely prefer Larkspur to other "extended stay" chains--decor is a notch better (think Courtyard), but the consistently friendly staff is what seals the deal for us.
Hotel was fine for our four night stay. Manager had a room for us before noon which was great since we came in early that morning. Wanted to cook so I asked for the dishes, utensils, appliances, etc. at checkin. Manager brought them to the room quickly after getting settled. Room was clean and comfortable, a bit small, but that was fine. After being there for a bit noticed that a little better cleaning was needed - toilet had a slight ring, dust and hair in the corners, nooks and crannies. Also after the first night I noticed some flea bites on my feet. I know this hotel allows dogs so that's what I assumed they were. My daughter didn't get any though. Overall stay was ok, felt safe, convenient location despite Seattle traffic just need more attention to cleaning more thoroughly.
We didn't like the first room we were given, because of noise, and the staff took us to another room to approve it before changing to that room. All the staff we encountered were very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean, updated, comfortable, and quiet.
Seattle’s Eastside is one of America’s most affluent areas. Multimillion-dollar estates on Lake Washington are home to a few billionaires, including Bill Gates. With its concentration of finance and tech firms, downtown Bellevue's skyline rivals that of Seattle. The Eastside has several corporate headquarters, Microsoft, Nintendo of America, and Eddie Bauer.
