“Not for me but might be for you”

This hotel is a very popular venue for meetings conferences etc. The car park, which is not small always seems to be packed to the rafters and there is no separate area for guest parking. I couldn't get near my room, when I arrived, because the main bedroom corridor was blocked with overflowing bags of rubbish - in fairness they were cleared away quickly enough but still a strange way to operate. The staff are attentive and the rooms are very comfortable and have all the amenities one would expect. If hassling to get a car park space is not an issue for you then the rest of the experience is fine. As a base for a stay it is convenient as long as you are not heading city centre. The location of the hotel is very much countryside - no shops or much else, except scenery, within walking distance. As I say it is not for me but I can see that it would be perfect for many travellers.

Area recommendations
Downtown - more convenient for meetings and normally parking in the city is not a real issue. Better choice of eateries and things to do in the evening.
What to pack
A raincoat rather than an umbrella. Belfast can often be windy with the rain and a good light raincoat will serve you better than an umbrella you can't use.

“Impressed - will return”

Myself, my 4 year old son and my mother have just returned from a one night stay (Friday night) at this hotel. The hotel room was fantastic, with two massive beds, very clean and comfortable. The food was very good. We ordered our evening meal from the bar menu which was very tasty. Breakfast very good also. Only one snag was with the swimming pool times. My son and I had an enjoyable swim in the lovely pool on the Friday before tea. I would loved to have taken him swimming again on the Saturday night morning for another swim but the pool didn't open for children until 10 am! This was very late for me considering we had been up from 7am. I asked if there was any way of an earlier swim but they said no. I found the special restricted hours for children swimming were very limited so make sure and check that out before you get geared up for a swim. Nearly forgot to mention the swimming pool changing rooms were absolutely freezing - air con seemed to be on!! Not a great idea when you coming out from a swimming pool. My sons teeth were chattering like mad. Not great for young kids..

“Okay, but hard to find.”

A pretty plain place to stay, although comfortable and no major complaints. In a fairly shabby area, and not all that easy to find driving around.

Getting around
Best to see Belfast with one of the bus tours, as it is hard to see everything on your own and understand its historical significance.

“recommended”

excellent hotel with a large fitness centre.the room was very comfortable and the hotel had a nice up market atmosphere.eating tip..because the hotel is out of town on the ring road the selection of restaurants/pubs was nil so be prepared to eat in the pricey restaurant or the very basic menu in the bar.will stay here again.

“Good Staff adn good service”

i was particularly impressed with the staff as they were all very polite and friendly, helpful. The hotel is very good overall clean , rooms are brilliant. Leisure facility also good. i just couldn't find anything to fault. Definately stay there again and highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Belfast. Donna & Michael on reception - provided me the best customer sevice i've ever come across in all my travels and hotel stays. That said - all the other staff came across as very presentable with good customer service focus.

“Great Hotel for Business travel”

I Have stayed at this hotel about eight times in the last two years. The level of service and facilities in the hotel are up with the best four stars. I have stayed in in the U.K and ireland, ( I stay in Hotels a lot !!). The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable and the restuarants, one british and one indian, are both of a high standard. The onsite L.A Fitness chain gym is well equiped and there is also a spa on site. I struggle to find anything wrong with the hotel at all at most it would be the lack of T.V channels in the room I was in this time with even some freeview channels not working. but this is a small glitch. Overall fantastic place to stay after a hard day at work.

Area recommendations
As I go on business i do not have time to visit any tourist spots.

“Very Comfortable Hotel”

We enjoyed the hotel. It's not downtown, but it's easy to find by car. The buffet breakfast was great.

Traveller's tip
We don't recommend trying to find car parking in downtown Belfast.

“RAMADA HOTEL , BELFAST”

This is a lovely hotel , beautiful foyer. Only gripe and it`s a small one -you have to remember to take your towels from the bedoom when you go for a swim and you have to buy a swimming cap at 2 pounds. Then you have no towels in your bedroom and have to ask at reception for more. Beauty treatments wonderful. Courtesy bus from Belfast City airport available if you phone hotel to arrange. Will also take you and collect you from city up to 9pm Mon -Sat.

Traveller's tip
Do west coast day bus trip with ALLENS tours
