Central hotel, quiet and clean

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Clean, quiet and close to Belfast attractions.
Cons: Soundproofing could be better.
Stayed overnight in hotel on 19th July. Room was available early than expected . Clean and comfortable although basic. I liked the pod bathroom, and the shower was excellent. The location was ideal for our purposes, in a nice area, with plenty of caf├ęs and restaurants nearby. The city centre was a 10-15 minutes stroll away. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I would use this hotel again for a short break.

Perfect base for visit to Belfast

I was really impressed with ibis queens quarter. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful shower room. I arrived quite late and so ordered food to take to my room, which was good value and very tasty. The hotel is in the university type area, which is really beautiful with lots of cafes and bars just round the corner. The main road was also nearby for buses to other areas and the taxis were quite cheap to get around. The next day the hotel booked me a taxi and stored my luggage and were always friendly. Above and beyond, very impressed! A perfect base for a trip to belfast!

Clean and comfortable hotel close to the University. Handy to some very good restaurants and convenience stores for snacks/ breakfast supplies. Parking is on street and plentiful , although may not be directly outside hotel. Staff were quite friendly and chatty and most happy to assist with any enquiries.

Big rooms in leafy Queens

Stayed here attending a conference at the Wellington Park. The area around QUB is lovely. The rooms were large and great value for money. The only downside was the breakfast which for a health conscious vegetarian wasn't great. We opted for breakfast in cafe renior, about 2 minutes stroll away. The staff are a real credit to this hotel; they were friendly and helpful. The other plus was that the city centre was only a 20 minute walk away.

Basic hotel in a good location

This is possibly (apart from Paris) one of the smallest hotel rooms I ever had! I had to move the electric kettle because it was blocking the view of the tiny TV screen ;-). The double bed took up about 90% of the room area.
