“Heating didn't work and staff were slow”
I found the Ibis location good but when I arrived I was kept waiting too long by a lazy bartender who should have asked me if I wanted to check in. He was going in super-slow motion and I was tired and wanted to get to my room. The rooms have that awful cheap laminate flooring, which I hate. They should have carpet or real wooden floors. The room was fine, very basic, but clean however. I woke up at 5am absolutely freezing and tried to turn on the heat but discovered the thing didn't work and just blew out cold air. I rang reception and they offered me a different room but as I had to get up at 7am anyway and had settled in the room I decided to use the hairdryer to warm myself!!! Then a Polish man came into the room without knocking as I was getting dressed (presumably to fix the heater), which gave me a fright. When I reported that, they gave me a free breakfast but noone apologised for the heating situation and when I was checking out I told them about it and the girl just said "Thanks, that's everything sorted out. Good bye". I just couldn't believe that she didn't offer an apology for the heating failing to work. I would recommend checking the heating as soon as you take up a room there. Also be patient with the staff - they are slow!
“very impressed”
Newly built hotel, very clean, sleek, fresh and modern. Amazing pod-like toilet/shower. Staff friendly and helpful. We got early check-in and late check out, without a problem, free. Didn't eat in hotel, but dining area looked nice, so many places near-by to choose from ,only minutes from city centre and bus station. Area a bit dingy but don't be put off, quite safe. Will use Ibis Hotel again and reccommend to friends.
“Low price, good comfort, parksilo and right in city centre!”
Much value for he price and a wonderful position! Beware: there are two parksilos, one is free for the hotel guests, the other is deadly expensive! Double check which is which before you park!
