Great location. Very clean. Friendly staff. However, could use a refresh. Also has no pool. Overall a nice place to stay but expensive. Would try something else the next time around.

LOST EARPODS WITHOUT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FROM HOTEL
The hotel has a reputation and it is ok
However we had a terrible experience that make us thing on not going back to beirut
Our brandnew apple earpods disappeared from the room the very first day, and they remain in the hotel for few hours until disconnect4ed (we could trace them with the apple device locator)
We complained every day twice about it for them to find our earpods and case but they seemed evasive and ignored us until the very end when we showed them the screenshot
However NOTHING WAS DONE!!
Ended up leaving to another place

Location is great, The hotel need to be re-new. The only service is breakfast and wasn't great at all and limited choices and slow service. although an iconic location on sea side but need to work on service and quality of food.

Nice hotel in a great location. The staff is courteous and friendly. Their breakfast style is a little strange; you end up eating the same things every morning. I also did not like having to go to a nearby sister hotel if I wanted to use the pool.

Construction Zone
Great hotel but unfortunately it's surrounded on three sides by construction. Be prepared for heavy duty jack hammers at 7 AM. Otherwise a great hotel. I would stay away until summer 2015.
I was very happy with my stay ,everything was excellent ,the staff were polite and helpful.the view was wonderful,the food was good .but the attitude of the receptionists were rude except Zyad
I travel the world all year round for Business and pleasure, always in 5 stars hotels. Beirut was a cosy, comfortable and lovely experience. I will from now on considerate this hotel as my home in Libanon.
We stayed for two nights and were excited about quality of food. Breakfast was delicious as well as dinner. The meals are prepared from the highest quality products. Staff was very helpfull and friendly and rooms were quiet and comfortable. Great quality of beds.

Good location but old and few amenities
The title of this review says it all, great service and location but only 1 restaurant, no breakfast, old building, no pool, tiny lobby, no shop, etc, for this kind of money I expected more
We stayed for 4 nights in this boutique hotel in Saint George bay in Beirut. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. We loved the Sidney's Bar and Restaurant on the roof garden. We will stay again if in Beirut.
Excellent if you can ignore the construction sounds.
Great hotel in a fantastic location. Service was very good also. The only problem we faced was the defening sounds of construction next door. It was loud and unrelenting. I was under the impression that hotels have to disclose information relating to construction. If not required by law, hotels should do make it known to thier customers from an ethical point of view. I will probably go back to the Vendome, but not anytime soon.

Le personnel de l'hôtel était très gentil, très serviable... surtout le personnel qui servait le petit déjeuner (Jacqueline et tous les autres) souciait du confort des clients. Tout le personnel était aimable.
C'est un hôtel de style classique, années 80... très propre, bien organisé, personnel de qualité mais qui a besoin un peu de retouche peut-être...
