“Great & Pleasant Stay”

Very comfortable hotel... Wonderful Sushi in a very affordable price... Free Internet... In general, I liked the hotel, I found the comfort and the service I was looking for in my vacation... I would definitively repeat my stay when I come back to Lebanon...

Area recommendations

I would recommend Down Town Beirut, Beirut Soucks, monot street with its night life, gemmayze street with all the pubs... which happens to be very close to the hotel... this hotel is in the middle of everything... wow

“good value”

i found it to be pleasant comfortable.. te food in the sushi restaurant was cheap and so good. they had a mini market which meant i didnt have to use the mini bar if i didnt want to. and the internet was for free.. a little slow but i believe the whole country has slow internet. good stay

“excellent stay”

i found the hotel very conveniently located to my needs. it was very central to downtown and most business and shopping. it is near the french embassy and the university of st joseph, so it is very secure. the rooms are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. the restaurant is good food and affordable. very satisfied

Getting there

took a taxi from the airport to the hotel. the driver told me there are 2 goldentulips in beirut. the other one is in the Hamra. so you better make sure you tell the driver which one.. the one next to the french cultural centre is hotel deville

“Was expecting more than this from my own experience with different international hotels”

First international hotel were there refrigerator is locked!! It is up to me to use the mini bar or not... Not to ask for the key No cattle for the morning coffee or tea Water was there only on the first day Wifi only in the first few floors wasn't available in my floor, this was not mention in my reservation These r essential in any hotel...

“Maybe a 3-star but certainly not worth 4”

The staff at this hotel are very friendly, particularly in the restaurant, but here are some of the things I took issue with this hotel, which claims to be a 4-star property: Rooms much too small Safe doesn't work unless you go to reception and get them to unlock it for you Minibar empty Acoustics a disaster (I could hear literally every word the couple in the next room were saying) Hot water seriously lacking (I had only a tepid shower on the first morning) Mosquito infestation in the lobby (which later moved to my room and kept me from sleeping) Serious under-capacity in the breakfast cafe (I had to wait 20 mins for a table on my first morning there) Shower door fell off All of these would have been quite normal for a 2 or 3 star hotel, but not for a property which claims to be 4 star. Sorry guys, you'll have to do much better.

“Good staff, good location, a little tired”

The hotel is well located for downtown, and the staff are helpful and friendly. The place could do with a refurbishment as it is feeling a little worn round the edges.

“very horrible experience”

The room and the bathroom are too small, and not clean , the staff are lazy and Rudd, the room's decor is so dark it was really depressing and no view.

“Not bad”

Bad location, not easy to find a taxi. Room condition is horrible, too expensive for the quality of the room. The service in the hotel is very good, very friendly and helpful staff.
