“Good quality business hotel”
Very friendly and efficient. Only minuses were a serious lack of drawers in the room -relevant if there are two of you for more than one night. Breakfast excellent but quite expensive. Hotel manager sought us out and was very pleasant (and sent a very nice bottle of wine and nibbles!). Overall enhanced a great long weekend in one of the most unrecognised gems of the world. Lebanese cuisine is stunning!
“I really enjoyed my stay at Gefinor Rotana”
Very nice. Great personnel!
“Could do Better...”
Checked in Ok and early which was a welcome bonus. Quite limited F&B outlets on site and all located in lobby (except for roof bar by v small pool). Signs in lifts suggest there is a Trader Vic's there but on enquiring was told it closed 5 years ago... But plenty of restaurants and bars in nearby Hamra area. We walked everywhere (for many miles) so can't comment on taxis but quite clear that Beirut has major traffic issues. The hotel recommended tour company was excellent. I would highly recommend trips to Jeita, Byblos and Baalbeck. Full day excursions include excellent Lebanese lunch. Plenty of night life near hotel but also around Solidere which is a redeveloped area full of up markets shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. Final words on hotel: waited 25 minutes for iron and board (phoning twice to remind); surly'ish cleaners; and Ok if not overly attentive front desk staff. I think there would be more welcoming hotels to stay in. (we were there for 6 nights.)
“Great Hotel for Great Price”
Going to Lebanon as tourists we were apprehensive at first as to whether or not the hotel would be any good. However, from the start to the end we were greatly impressed. We were greeted at arrivals with a screen displaying our names and escorted to a waiting minivan to take us to the hotel - this was extra but as we had 4 people we thought best to book a minivan for the luggage. The hotel itself was extremely clean and looked very nice. Given this was my first experience of a 5 star hotel so I have nothing to compare it to, I must say this hotel excelled in nearly all categories. The location was excellent - always a taxi outside and every taxi driver knew where this was. A short walk from the main strip or a 5 min taxi ride from the main night strip, we found location extremely good. Pool was rather small but intimate. However, given the central location it was a bonus it had a pool. The amenities at the hotel were very good. A gym, concierge, l'occitane toiletries, 24 hour reception, excellent maid service are just a few of the things to mention. We booked two of the cheapest rooms - they felt 5 star! The hotel was extremely responsive to our requests. One evening we called them at 7pm to come and clean the room and they happily obliged. The minibar is well stocked and there are several (premium) snacks in your room (at an extra cost). I would recommend this hotel to all - they even had conference floors which hosted weddings and business seminars!
“Excellent hotel and amazing service”
We hugely enjoyed our stay here and would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. The service of the staff was outstanding, particular thank you to Paul at reception who helped us with a number of things during our stay. Thank you! Excellent hotel, and location is great.
“Good hotel”
For the price we paid a good hotel. Our room was quite small, and I would say more like a 4 star than 5 star. But the bathroom was very nice and everything was clean. Service was very good. The pool area was nice. The hotel has a club where they serve breakfast until midday and then snacks from 6-8pm which is a great idea and very useful. Overall a good hotel, but don't pay too much!!
“Icing on the cake!”
Hotel was great value for money. Good location, excellent hospitality! Hotel facilities were great. Shame we didn't use the pool as the view was awesome (weather was not so good though). Apart from some small issues with air conditioning which were promptly recified from them it was 5-star all the way! Breakfast was nice but pricey. Close to Corniche (walk easy) but need to taxi to Jamezee Street (they can help you organise this). Would definately return again.
“Great hotel in Great Location.”
The hotel was a good and worth the price i paid. I booked it even though i was hesitant from the reviews on tripadvisor, however, I am glad i took this step and made the booking. The room included breakfast and it was very nice full with all kinds of variety of food for all tastes. In addition, the staff was very helpful thoughout my stay. I am happy with the choice I made.
“satisfied”
The hotel conditons as a whole were satisfied, staff at the reception were extremly helpful but room service were always late, the hotel location was good(its near to down town solidare and hamra street)and the price of the room with breakfast was resaonable compared to others. finally i m satisfied
“Gefinor Rotana Hotel Beirut”
The hotel overall was nice, clean, and with good service. The surpirse was that there was constuction work from 9 to 9 daily, but you could not hear it if you were in higher floors. The only really bad thing was the beds; they were extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was very good with good service. Airconditioning did not work well; we could not control it from the room; it was too hot. The rooms were rather small.
