“Just what we needed”
We had to make an emergency trip to Beijing to help care for our grandson in critical condition in the Beijing United Healthcare hospital. We wanted someplace close so we could walk between the hotel and the hospital. We were pleasantly surprised to find this wonderful place. I travel on business and this was a very typical business hotel. There weren't many frills, but we were very comfortable. We speak no Chinese and our biggest fear was getting to the airport on our own when we were ready to leave. The doorman didn't speak English, but he had a little card that we used to communicate to the driver which terminal we needed to go to. This was a very nice touch. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would return.
“Average”
A very average stay. Hotel facilities are adequate for the business traveler but do consider another neighborhood if on leisure.
“Great place to stay between flights”
I have stayed in this hotel many times and I am very happy with it and its service. I often recommend this hotel to friends who also need to stay in Beijing a day or so. It is comfortable, clean and convenient to those coming from the airport. The price is reasonable and the food offered on the premises is fine for a smaller hotel. Overall, it is a winner and I will be happy to return again and again.
“Good price, good room, good breakfast. Nice staying.”
The hotel is good, not 5 stars but fairly good. The included breakfast better that i expected. I minor con is that you have to get in only by one rotating door and if you have big bagagge it becomes a little difficult. The room is small but good. The heater very good and quiet.Safety box and commodities. Defenitely i´d stay there my next visit. And good price after all.
“Good business hotel”
A nice looking hotel in a relatively quiet neighborhood. Service is excellent. Rooms are clean and good enough for business stays. There are some signs of age in the bathroom fixtures, but everything seems to function OK. The room rates are reasonable. I usually take a Superior room if I am travelling alone, and a Deluxe or Executive if I take my wife along. If you are staying there for the first time, I recommend that you ask them to show you different rooms before taking one. I have stayed at many hotels in Beijing, some better and more expensive, and others worse and cheaper. I settled at this hotel primarily because of the proximity to my client's headquarters. In Beijing you'd waste several hours a day in traffic if you choose a hotel not very close to your place of visit. Also, you won't like to miss your return flight due to the traffic congestion. This hotel is only less than half-an-hour drive from the Beijing Int'l Airport.
“Clean and Pleasant stay - Oct/Nov 2010”
My 5 night stayed was very pleasant. Quick check-in and check-out. Clean room, nice back of the hotel view of the city, park and Chinese pavilion. Close to good food, walking distance to supermarket. About 40 rmb to the city center by taxi. Close to 798 space which is a Art district (10 rmb by taxi). The staff at the front desk and restaurant spoke English and was very pleasant and helpful. Food at the restaurant was tasty and filling but a bit expensive.
“Excellent Quality for Price”
The hotel is an excellent choice for the price. It has a upscale lobby and excellent staff that can help you with all your travel needs. Their Bellboy service is outstanding and can even help you schedule a whole day trip to the Great Wall, Jade factory, Silk factory, Lunch, and vase factory with a private driver for under $60 a person. If you are not going to use the wetbar in the room, you can request that it will not be used, and they will remove the contents. Then the normal deposit will not be required. The room has a great coffee maker for coffee and tea that is refilled every morning. The bed was very comfortable compared to other places I stayed. The room was very clean, and decorated very well. The room also features an in-room safe. Guest services include money exchange at great rates compared to other locations. They also have 3 restaurants to choose from in the lobby. And a small gift store with reasonable priced beverages. The location is a little ways from scenic places, but can be easily be reached by taxi at their low rates. When I was there, both the BMW Group and mercedes where having their training seesions here in one of the conference rooms. I think this speaks for itself on how well this hotel is regarded.
“Good location bad rooms”
I have stayed many times at the Rosedale and have booked "Standard" rooms which have always been to my satisfaction. Upon checking in, we were giving a dirty room with lumpy beds and told this was an upgrade. It wasn't until our room safe broke that they changed us to better room. Otherwise, the hotel itself and the location is good.
“I'm going back in January 2010!”
I have been to this hotel six times now over the past 3 years. It is one of the best hotels in this district of Beijing. The staff are friendly and honest. Also, it is very easy to get a taxi at this hotel, which can take you to the Pearl Market, Silk Market, Russian Market, etc. for a small price. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.
“Nice clean hotel in a residential district”
The Rosedale Hotel is a clean, quiet, and efficient hotel. It is in an area which I am very familiar. There is shopping, health spas and restaurants in walking distance. The only strange thing is that if you want your windows opened, they make you sign a "waiver of liability" in case you fall out of the window. China is most exciting.
