“Regent is a brand you can count on.”
Excellent service as expected. Very impressive swimming pool. You cannot smell cigarett in the common area, do not know how they manage to do that. Location is great, right above subway station. The only problem for us was the beds were too small for 3 people (two adult and a 9 years old).
“wonderful hotel”
My wife and I recently celebrated our 20th anniversary with a round the world trip...stopping in Beijing. Upon our arrival at The Regent we were enthusiastically greeted by the staff who knew our names, congratulated us on the anniversary and sent champagne to the suite. The hotel staff have an excellent knowledge of english. The hotel is very well located in Beijing. Try the nearby duck restaurant called 1949. A memorable visit!!
“Fantastic Location, Great Service!”
We visited this hotel for tourist purposes only and we thought it was perfect! The location was ideal--plenty to walk to and a short cab ride to anywhere we wanted to go! Cabs are VERY inexpensive (ie less than 5 USD for up to 30 minutes away) and plentiful. The food at the hotel was delicious and the service with the front desk and concierge was great! Having a modern hotel was a nice break after a chaotic day in the city! I'd highly recommend this hotel!
“Luxury hotel in Beijing!”
Fabulous hotel, perfect location right next to the metro stop; extremely courteous staff, answered all my questions about sightseeing in the area; my room was perfect! King bed one of the most comfortable ones I've been in, bathroom large with shower and separate tub. 5-star all the way, would stay there again in a heartbeat!
“Outstanding Beijing Hotel convenient to everything”
One of the most outstanding features of this hotel is that very few westerners stayed here. The room was one of the best in terms of design, comfort, convenience, and cleanliness that I have ever stayed in! Had a wonderful spa with gorgeous treatment rooms with extended hours so you could spend the day out and about, have dinner and still get a massage to end your day. The breakfast buffet is unsurpassed in terms of quality and selection. I didn't pay extra for the Regent Club but it may be a good value particularly if you like to have a drink or two. The lobby, public areas and the garden area adjacent to the lobby bar are gorgeous. Location is convenient to Forbidden City, T Square and the Metro (which can be crowded but is the best way to get around the city!) - all in all this is a great hotel and the rate I got for a 5-star was terrific!!
“Beijing Regent Hotel”
Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Wonderful staff!
“Beijing trip”
Wonderful hotel with great location! I will stay there again. Only problem is, there is a leak in the bathroom by the mirror, a five star hotel shouldn't have this kind of issue.
“Has everything you could ever want, need or ask for”
Stayed at one of their King Bed non-smoking rooms, I felt like everything I could want or need was taken care of. Tub with bath salts, pillow menu (for hypo-allergenic pillows and such), water and fruits replenished everyday in room, relaxing room and mood lighting, free high speed internet, free shoe-shine service, prompt dry cleaning/pressing services, lavish and well stocked mini-bar. Entering the hotel you feel an unmistakable sense of calm and arrival. Excellent, friendly, very helpful staff -- They helped me hire a private registered cab to take a trip to obscure great wall attractions not usually made available for tourists. Lounge stays open till 12am and service was excellent. Location is excellent, in Jinbao Jie in the heart of the city. Starbucks around the corner for those who must have their coffee hit every morning. The hotel staff also offers to deliver your Starbucks coffee of your choice in the morning. No complaints whatsoever, well deserved 5 star rating and could not ask for more. Well priced. They made my stay in Beijing a memorable, relaxing and most enjoyable one.
“Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone....”
Satisfied with the hotel
“Regent Beijing is a wonderful experience”
The Regent Beijing is easily a 5 star hotel and is exceedingly comfortable. It is located 1 block away from the famous Wangfujing "walking street" for excellent shopping and street vendors. It is about 2 blocks away from Chang An Blvd, which is the main east west thoroughfare in central Beijing. The Regent is located near many, many restaurants and shopping stores ... small and large. You can walk to Forbidden City, although it will be a 20 minute hike. Taxis are plentiful, and the Regent staff give you a card with all popular destinations written in both English & Chinese. The back of the card includes Regent Hotel info so you can return to the hotel by simply showing the card to any taxi driver. While best suited to business travelers, I would highly recommend the Regent Hotel to any visitor to Beijing. A gem!
