“Classy hotel”
The Prime Hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The luxury was unexpected. The restaurants are very nice. The lobby, spotless. The doormen, friendly and courteous. Centrally located for shopping and major tourist sites. Also, "Snack Street" only a couple blocks away. Although I cannot speak Chinese, the staff was able to communicate to my satisfaction. If I returned to China, I would stay there again.
“This hotel is nice by reasonable price.”
Room was clean, and the service of staff in hotel was nice. The only problem was that coffee was extremely expensive. Fee of hotel itself is reasonable.
“Good value and good location”
Stayed here for one night before flying back to UK. Great location for Forbidden City etc and especially for Wangfujing shopping. Room and service was great. Had difficultly explaining that I needed to use the business centre to print my boarding pass - they told me that there was no business centre (eventually found it on the 10th floor). Air quality was quite poor in the room but I guess the starting material is pretty poor! Food was expensive at 160RMB per person in the buffet, per meal. But MAcDonalds is just along the road...... Would recommend though.
“Class”
Prime position, quiet which is not easy to find in a place like a Chinese city.
“American equivalent of a 3.5 Star”
I was pretty happy with the hotel. While not everyone spoke English they would find you someone who could. The rooms were nice and clean. The one complaint I have was there the rooms did smell like they had a very minimal smokey smell. I think these rooms were smoking maybe 2-3 years ago. I am ultra sensitive to this & my sister noticed it to but my mom on the other hand did not notice any smoke smell. So just an FYI, if you are super sensitive. I felt very safe in the hotel and the neighborhood. If you are veggie there was an excellent veggie restaurant close by which was great for me. There is also a huge American style mall 8 min away. The forbidden palace was about a 35 min walk from the hotel. The hotel is about 1 hour away from the airport. Do not get screwed like I did. It should cost ~100 Yuan to get from the airport to the hotel. Learn from my mistakes. For comparison, I would rate this as above a Hampton Inn but below a Doubletree. Breakfast was kinda expensive at $15 USD and there are plenty of places close where you can get a much cheaper meal. All in all pretty happy with my experience and would stay here again. Oh yeah forgot to mention that there is free internet but you have to pull out the cat5 from the room computer and put it into yours. Not a huge deal by any means but NO wireless.
“Very happy”
Traditional, locally run high quality hotel. Within easy walking distance of main shopping street in Beijing. Very impressed with the ease of booking and knowing that it is all paid before you travel. Watch out for high prices of Evian water. We read that they provided free bottled water which they did but it is not the Evian which is part of the mini bar and very expensive. The service is not great at the buffet breakfast but it is just their way. Look out for the line dancing outside St Joseph's every night - it was great.
“Excellent been twice in two months, will book again.”
This Hotel for offers large room work desk and computer free internet high speed. I can nor praise this Hotel enough for my use. The only down side would be local area not many shops a bit far for walking into the main city if you are fit then its no problem. Try it I am sure you will be pleased. Roger ; New Zealand
“A great hotel for foreigners”
We chose this hotel from the many around Wangfujing because it had a pool, but we never ended up using it. (Cap required, and it was a little small.) The staff of the hotel were great, and almost all spoke english. Our room was cleaned twice a day, and the shopping district was within easy walking distance, with taxis outside the door to go farther afield. Breakfast was an odd mix of Western and Chinese, for about $13 pp. Overall, I'd definitely go back, definitely recommend it.
“Prime Hotel, Beijing”
The rooms in this hotel are very comfortable, the shower was excellent and the breakfast good quality. However, we had to pay extra for it. The location of the hotel is convenient for the Forbidden City and shopping on Wangfujing. My only quibble was that some of the hotel staff had poor English. This was probably because the hotel is mainly used by Chinese people, there were only a handful of Westerners staying there.
“Great Beijing Hotel”
Excellent value for money in a fantastic central location - 30mins to tianamen sq 20 mins to forbidden city. When booking a hotel in Beijing I was faced with a massive choice - I chose this hotel because of location, price and reviews. I was not disappointed. We were lucky enough to have room upgrade - the room was fantastic with everything we could ask for. Great decoration and facilities. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only one small niggle - the hotel advertises free wi-fi and indeed this is the case - but only in the lobby. If you want it in the room it is moderately expensive. Would definitely stay here again.
