“Look no further”
If you’re looking for a good 4* accommodation in Beijing, look no further! Situated in a perfect location, right next to a subway stop and where the old hutongs meet the glitz of ‘new Beijing’, the Park Plaza offers the perfect blend of affordability and comfort. Although the lobby may not have the opulence of nearby 5* hotels, the room is 5* by any standards, with all the small touches you would expect of the more expensive variety. After busy days sightseeing around Beijing it was always a pleasure coming back to such a pleasant environment. The only negative point I could point out is the price of food, beverages and other hotel services which, unlike the room prices, were at normal international hotel prices. There are mini-marts nearby where you can stock on essentials though. Highly recommended!
“"FANTASTIC!"”
WoW. This hotel was luxurious and crisp and clean. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. We never waited more than 2 seconds for a lift. The room was amazing. Clean, comfortable, warm and crisp. Floor to ceiling window. The bathroom was lovely, a real extravagance. If you like to relax in the hotel after a day of sightseeing, this was great. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillows great. The tv had many channels. There were free postcards you could send. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Beijing. It was right next to a subway, literally right next to. And a 5 minute walk from the main Wanfujing area, where there is a brilliant Beijing Duck place and many other restaurants and shops. I can't say anymore good things about this hotel, but it's excellent value for money and if you can, choose here!
“close to subway”
the hotel is very close to exit C of Dengshikou station. I have no complaints about the hotel exept the front desk staff was not very friendly, and managed to talk me into paying additional Y230 per day for an upgrade to the executive floor. The breakfast is very expensive, and have reseaonable amount of variety of food.
“Great Location”
Very nice hotel. When we arrived we were offered an upgrade to the room which included half price drinks during happy hour (but this appeared to be for all guests). The hotel and room was very clean and the bed very comfy (I like hard beds). The only problem was not being able to work the air con so it was on all night, which is not great in December. The concierge booked us bullet train tickets for Beijing to Shanghai which arrived on the day we booked. It cost £2 per ticket for them to do this - I highly recommend doing it this way unless you can speak Chinese because booking tickets canbe very frustrating. It is close to lots of restaurants and around the corner from a metro. There is also a fairly expensive Irish pub nearby. It was walking distance from Wangfujing and the Forbidden City. Definitely worth a look.
“Would Stay There Again”
The hotel was clean, with many amenities, including an iron and ironing board. The rooms were adequately decorated and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful and polite. The hotel is situated within walking distanceof the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. If you walk less than two blocks in one direction you will be in a neighborhood with many hutons; but a short walk in the opposite direction are luxury stores and expensive car showrooms. The subway is minutes from the hotel. The best part was the affordable price for luxury! The next time I travel to Beijing I plan to stay at the hotel.
“Great hotel with a great central location”
We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a hotel in Beijing. It is in a central location near the Wangfujing shopping area and is very close to a metro stop. The hotel staff was very nice and went out of their way to help us if we had a problem. The concierage was helpful and helped us arrange taxis or trips. We booked an upgrade to the room which included the breakfast buffet and access to the lounge. Overall they were very helpful and friendly and we would return anytime.
“BEST SERVICE, LOCATION, AND FRIENDLINESS”
November 11-November 14, 2011 We ended our vacation with the stay at the Park Plaza Beijing Wangtujing. On checkin, we were greeted with professionalism and friendliness. Upon waiting to be served, we were addressed by no less than 3 people asking if they could be of service and we were brought a cup of tea while checking in. The room was clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable which enabled us to be refreshed and enjoy our stay for the following 3 days. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We also utilized breakfast and lunch dining facilities. The food was very reasonable and there was a great deal of choice. We would highly recommend this hotel while visiting Beijing.
“exellent hotel and locations”
Room was modern, good size and very comfortable, hotel staffs were extremely helpful, breakfast was too expensive though around 350rmb for 2 people, but there are some cheap eats behind the hotel, you can get a tray of 20 dumplings for 10rmb, a tray of 10 pork buns for 5rmb, a bowl of beef noodle soup for 10rmb ,locations were excellent closed to forbidden city, and all the shopping, restaurants etc, also subway was right next door.
“A real gem”
Great location, friendly well-trained staff. Full service. Nice sized rooms. Would definitely return. Easy walk to Forbidden City, Night Market and shopping.
“Bejing”
Found the accomadations to be adequate not what I would consider above par as one would at the Park Plaza. I also stayed across town at the Radisson and found it to be dated but much more hospitable than the Park Plaza.
