“HARMONY HOTEL”
IT WASN'T MY FIRST TIME STAY IN THIS HOTEL. STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL, BUT LACK OF ENGLISH VERY FEELABLE. ROOMS ARE BIG. WHITE TOWELS ARE GRAY COLOR BUT CLEAN. LOCATION IS GREAT, BUT NEIGHBORHOOD IS HORRIBLE. NO ONE TAXI WANTS TO GO THERE FROM ANY MARKET, HOWEVER UNDERGROUND SERVICE IS GREAT AND METRO STATION IS VERY CLOSE. IN GENERAL, IF YOU DON'T CARE FOR 4-5 STARS HOTEL - THIS IS A GREAT ONE.
“very close yo everything”
the hotel is okey only the carpet need change ,is too old
“Great Price and Good Location”
I was happy with my room. It was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. There was only one English channel so when the advertisement says Satellite TV don't expect much. The bathroom was good with lots of room. There was a big closet. Breakfast options were good. An assortment of Chinese fare. Didn't try for breakfast or lunch. Don't try to catch a taxi in this area. I tried and they just drive by or they will haggle for an outrageous fee. Get the hotel to flag down one for you. They have a bell boy at the door who will flag one down. The hotel is really central and it's a good base for branching out into the rest of the city. Not much to look at in the immediate area, but near is the Oriental Plaza (loads of shopping and a Subway Sandwich, which wasn't bad). Lots of shopping in the area near Oriental Plaza, all pretty high end and pricey. Access to Tiananmen and Forbidden City (Palace Museum) is an easy 20-30 minute walk. The only thing I was unsatisfied about was the lack of hot beverage options. Only Jasmine tea, which I don't like. Fortunatly, there are two big convenience stores across the street that offer various hot beverage options.
“Will always stay at this place in Beijing”
Very close to train station easy to ride the subway to most places. Reception friendly and willing to help even thow not perfect in the English language.
“Should be 2-star”
Stayed here for 9 nights in October 2010. Very close to the train station. You can catch a bus from Beijing Capital Airport for 16 yuan. Beds were very hard (Apparently the Chinese like hard beds, most hotels have pretty hard beds). The room quality was like the average motel. Really the only thing this hotel has going for it is its proximity to Tiananmen Sq, Oriental Plaza, Train Station and it's absurdly cheap minibar (the cheapest of all the hotels i stayed at, everything was 5 yuan). Good if you going cheap, but not the most comfortable
“the best budget hotel in Beijing”
close to Beijing train station and subway stations. easy connection to the airport . walking distance to touristy sites. highly recommended.
“Good location”
Good location, close to metro and train station. I used one of traveler's idea to go to Great Wall, for two person cost under 30 yuan instead of join group cost over 400 yuan per person. During the whole time I stayed in Beijing, I only met one person very friendly, she's working at Metro station of Dongdan. I ask her to give me some suggestion of finding good Chinese restaurant to eat dim sim, she gives me all details where you can find them and how to get there. I was very impressed for her help. Other people when you ask questions, either they say "don't know" or just ignore you. Not much people friendly in Beijing.
“Good location”
This is not a fancy hotel but I would stay there again. It's a 1-2 minute walk from the subway station. There are fast food places around the corner (McDonalds and Yoshinoya) and more a couple of blocks away (Pizza Hut and KFC). The room had air conditioning, a TV (one CCTV english channel and numerous Mandarin channels) and a mini-bar. The only improvement would be the bed - hard mattress. But, I had read that already so it was not a surprise. I would stay there again.
“I will stay here the next time”
The location is very good, near the railway station, easy to buy train tickets to travel to other places in China; near the subway station, the fastest way to travel around Beijing.
“Very good hotel to stay in that price range”
It is a very good hotel in this kind of price range with a excellent location. For me it was not at all a problem to reach by shutle bus from the International Airport as hotel is just accross the street slghtly in the left diagonal direction from the shutle bus stop of Beijing Railway Station and bus fare is only 16Yuan as compared to much higher Taxi Fare . This is a 7storey property with a big green color sign on the top which is visible from the shutle bus stop. All other facilities are very close by such as Mcdonald Restaurant, KFC and Subway station are less than a block away. Many other Chinese Restaurants, grocery stores are just around the corner. Ofcourse Internet Access is bit more expensive @1Yuan per min but there is a Youth Hostel 1block east accross from Subway Stn where Internet Access is 4Yuan for 30mins and it is open 24Hrs.Hotel staff is quite courteous and most of them speak managable good English, room service is quite fast. For money exchange they gave me very good rate even better than bank for my Canadian money and you can change as little money as you want but only bills. I stayed there for 8nights and had no complaint with the exception of bed mattress bit hard but that's Chinese Style I think.Room and wash room size are quite good with big openable window in the room and that makes it quite bright. If I happen to go back to Beijing, I would love to stay there.
