“First time in Beijing”
Wasn't real close to anything particular. Easy cab ride though. Room was clean and hotel was nice. I'd go back.
“Beijing Hilton DoubleTree - outstanding in many ways!!”
Recently had the pleasure to visit Beijing for the 1st time. Picked the Hilton Double Tree for reputation and was not dissapointed. Clean in every way, friendly staff, excellent food in both restaurants, bar was warm and friendly, spa and pool were clean and a pleasure to use. Rooms were comfortable and very well maintained by a friendly, smiling staff. A bit of a distance from downtown areas but taxi service was always available and extremely affordable. Excellent performance by the Hilton Family!!
“Comfortable stay at Doubletree”
We had a good experience at Doubletree Hilton. Check-in staff were very friendly and we received warmed chocolate chip cookies at reception. Nice touch. Stayed in a King Bed suite. Not sure if it was a king bed size but nevertheless very very comfortable. Had a kitchenette and nice lounge area. Bathroom was pristine. Had our 2.5 year old with us so lots of room for her to play in the room and she had a comfy sleep on the lounge. Asked staff for extra blankets and sheets. No one at the pool when we went so we had a nice private swim. There's a nice Dim Sum lunch buffet on Sat and Sun. Overall very happy with our stay.
“A lovely, high-quality hotel but not well situated.”
We loved the Hilton Doubletree; the friendly service, the welcome cookies, the beautiful, big swimming pool with soothing music, the wonderful range of breakfast foods and the free Internet access in the modern, stylish lobby. The only drawback to Doubletree is its location, nowhere near a subway station or any of the important sites (and in Beijing taxis are hard to come by). There are buses but not enough information about them. There is supposedly an occasional shuttle bus to the town center (3 per day) but not at the weekend. Hilton would do well to provide a more frequent service (perhaps an hourly run to the nearest subway station) and clear bus information in English.
“Definately would stay again!”
This was our first time traveling to Beijing. The hotel is located on West -south area of the city, near Ring 2. ( Most western style hotels are on the East side of the city). We picked this hotel because it was located near by where our daughter lives. The location was perfect for us! Taxis are very cheap in Beijing, subways are really easy to use and buses also. So the transportation was no problem at all. Between 5 -7 pm is a rush hr, try to avoid that time. The traffic can be very hectic! Everything about this hotel was great. We are Hilton Gold VIP members and the Executive Lounge on the 21st Floor is GREAT! We got to know the staff by name, food was EXCELLENT!
“Best Doubletree & Best hotel in Beiing”
Great place to stay and great value for money. We stayed in this hotel for a few times already, this is a very much different Doubletree hotel from those in the States -large hotel with a lot of artwork collections, a huge rooftop garden with swimming pool on it, and it is the best Doubletree hotel we had stayed as well as the best one in Beijing. It is very close the Beijing financial street and much more value for money compare to those hotels at the Financial street. Hotel recently started free shuttle service to Financial street and the key inter-transfer subway station everyday in the morning. The service they provide is remarkable. Same as many city, it is very hard to get taxi during the rush hour in Beijing. When we going back to the hotel from the Malindao tea street, we had wait for about 15 to 20 minutes but still had no luck. We called Ray at the hotel concierge to check if they have any taxi could send to pick us back. He told us they also had few people were in line waiting in the hotel then he asked our location and tell us be patient. What was unbelievable was, 20 minutes later we found a hotel bellboy running to our way and he told us that we are quite close to the hotel already, he is here to pick us up and then he walked us back to the hotel. It was really quite close already we had walked about 20 minutes back to the hotel. The service they had provide us is more then great and I am sure we will be keep coming back.
“A 3-night stay”
We read a lot of the reviews before we booked this and wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived. But in all honesty it is a lovely hotel, in true "lost in translation' style it was what you'd expect from a 4/5 star hotel anywhere in the world. The rooms are luxurious and the place has a nice elegant feel. We popped our head in a couple of 4/5 star hotels near the forbidden city and I think we both preferred doubletree. I would say though that it is not that central, some maps can be a bit misleading and Tiananmen square is by no means walkable. The hotel does run a short shuttle to a nearby tube station where you can easily connect right into town tho for very cheap. But Beijing is a big place and nothing is really that close together to be honest. There are a few options right near the forbidden city for those who just want to walk out their front door into the square but you'll pay a lot more for the privilege. Service at the doubletree was great, we had the pool to ourselves in March and there is a nice bar on the first floor and executive lounge half up the building and a choice of a couple of restaurants. Free wifi is available in the bar and foyer but you will have to pay for the cable connection in your room. Only downside about the room is that the standard rooms don't have bath tubs. I'd definitely go back tho and the transfer to the airport, very early saturday morning was pretty good too, though it's a 45 min drive without traffic.
“Best hotel in Beijing”
Our stay at the Doubletree hotel in Beijing was fantastic. The hotel was clean, the rooms were gorgeous and the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and could communicate easily in English. The buffet breakfast offered by the hotel got each day off to a great start. We would stay at the doubletree for our next trip to Beijing!
“Great Stay at Double Tree Beijing”
This hotel was pretty new and guessing it was maybe 1 - 2 years old. I brought my Hilton Gold card and was upgraded to a 1 bdrm suite. The bathroom was beautiful and there was an LCD TV in both the living room and bedroom. The rate included breakfast and it was maybe one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had. Free wireless Internet in the lobby which is great for synchronizing with your Blackberry. I would definitley recommend this hotel. The gym and pool were very nice. The only complaint would be the hotel was not located in the central business district but taxis are cheap and easy to get at the hotel. There were also lots of restaurants and shopping walking distance to the hotel.
“Neues Hotel, schlecht instandgehalten, schlechte Lage”
