“Will go back to the hotel”

The room is pretty good except the bath room. It had bad odor. Around the hotel has many different type of restaurants to eat.

“Great Location”

This hotel is walking distance to Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Taoranting Gdns. Convenience stores and restaurants close by (although very little English). Staff speak some English, but not well. Rooms are basic but clean. Internet connection is wired only, but Ok. Beds are hard (this is standard across China). Area is authentically Chinese but quite safe.

Getting around
Pedestrians be aware. Crossing the road can be dangerous in Beijing. Follow the locals closely. A green light for pedestrians does not make you safe! Make sure taxis use the meter, and ALWAYS ensure you have a business card from your hotel,so that you can show the driver. It will be written in Chinese (most do not understand written English). The Subway is very efficient and safe. Stops and directions are often indicated in English.

“Goed en prettig hotel”

Prettige, hulpvaardige mensen in het hotel. Kamer met alles wat je nodig hebt; van waterkoker tot koelkastje, heerlijke douche, extra zitje. Het ontbijtbuffet is zeer uitgebreid en naast Chinees ook Westers. Compleet met bacon en eieren, koffie en zelfs bruin brood (kost ongeveer 5 euro). Wel iets van te voren boeken, want het hotel is geregeld vol.

Traveller's tip
Vanaf het airport kun je shuttlebus 2 nemen. Van de halte is het dan ongeveer 15 minuten lopen, maar je kunt ook voor 1 euro een taxi nemen. Het hotel ligt centraal tussen de "Tempel van de Hemel" en het Tian'anmenplein. De dichtstbijzijnde metro is zo'n 15 minuten weg. Aardige buurt, niet erg toeristisch, lekkere restaurantjes in de omgeving.Om de hoek met Zhushikou Xidajie (hele grote straat)is een heel goed (oesters!)visrestaurant.Supermarktjes voor bier en water in de omgeving.
