I asked for a Pick up . Did not reach at the airport . Called Hotel staff told to wait ,it was 1 O'clock at night. Initially , I was accommodated at room No 103 . Later on told to shift to another room coz they made mistake . later on accommodated on 402 , a room with a pillar inside ! Geyser not working to had to shower with cold water . Did not fix it without repeated request . The cot opens to Bathroom . What a horrible stay .
This is my second visit to the Metropole. We first chose it because it was close to friends we were visiting but returned because it offered excellent value for money and above average accommodation. Rooms are nicely furnished and have fridges, kettles and in room safes. Bathrooms are spacious enough and have a good supply of hot water at a decent pressure. The restaurant offers a good range of food and we enjoyed all the meals we ate there.

This is worst hotel i ever Stayed.
I don't recommend to business travellers.
I never stayed in such room where no hot water, no cleanness.
No charging plugs.
I can't even move my legs. Its such a small room and its not worth paying even 1000 Rs for that low standard rooms.
Despite a couple of negative reviews, we were all in all fairly happy with the choice we had made in deciding on Hotel Trimoorti. The staff were specially helpful, in particular Jeet and Narayanan. Being in a very central location of Kolkata we had no problem getting taxis back to the hotel from any part of the city even late at night. The homely atmosphere was well worth the price we paid, and we would certainly recommend the hotel.
Get a per-paid taxi from airport, but have your own map or GPS. Taxi driver will try to be lost and cost you money. I liked the location next to the Durga Temple, 5am bells and chants. A lake is very close for morning walks. I walked about 5 km a day, but a taxi stand is close by (3 min walk North/East). Room was clean and very simple A/C, TV.
There is no internet available, but a cafe (4 min walk, north). Breakfast is only included with the deluxe rooms. Staff where very friendly, and I'm not very demanding. They list two phone numbers use the one that ends with "60".
I travel to Kolkata once a year and will stay here, next year for a month.
If you require modiste accommodations, clean room, at a good price.
