good value

Posted 13-Apr-2015
Pros: comfortable bed and amenities were clean and situation of hotel was good for relatives who live in Luton
Cons: triple glazing. Directions to nearby places of interest for walking /cycling/ sightseeing
Location: went to American Golf Club (you become members for the day) or you can just play mini-golf.
Had to change room as someone had been smoking in it and plastered chewing gum over the smoke alarm. The cleaners ought to have noticed this and the smell of cigarettes. However, we complained and luckily got a change of room immediately- reception staff were very pleasant and courteous.

Not Pleasant

Posted 13-Mar-2015
Pros: What was really surprising was the decent quality of the hotel food; it was surprisingly quite pleasant. Really comfortable bed.
Cons: The decor, the size of the rooms and the receptionist staff - come on people, it can't be that bad!!
Location: Very close to the airport so it's perfect if you are flying out.
Alright, so it's a budget hotel! But for 60+ English Money Pounds you can get a much better experience at one of its better known competitors. Awful grey decor as you exit the lift for the room is something akin to a prison block and the size of the rooms is ridiculous! Yes, I am a bit of a snob, but this place is just really depressing with really unhelpful staff who forget that the only reason they have a job is because of the paying guest!

Courteous staff. Room only the size of bed. Bed very comfortable. Mediocre decor. Limited eating options. Parking at Air parks.

Good For the money

Posted 13-Feb-2015
Pros: Clean
Cons: Larger menu and review of the pricing
Location: We flew from luton airport
Good clean accommodation, bright friendly reception. Staff friendly ( we were served by a young trainee lad who was very good ). Bar and restaurant quite nice but strange choice of seating ( mini rocking chairs ) and a little expensive but this is the norm for a budget style hotel

overnight stay for early morning flight

Posted 30-Jan-2015
Cons: staff training
Location: airport
check in was ok. room was ok. parking - you need to pay £5 which is okay (despite on ibis website saying this is free). checkout staff early in the morning was borderline rude. Without looking at you he asked 'room?' and after I gave him the key card and the room number the next thing i got was 'ok'. That's your checkout! I'm sure it's only him but otherwise value for money!

good value for money

Very nice and comfy bed, amazing shower and 2 minutes ride to the airport. The food at the restaurant is also pretty good and not overrated.

Close to airport with basic comforts needed!

Posted 21-Jan-2015
Pros: Comfy beds.
Cons: Maybe service, staff weren't all that friendly
Location: right near Luton airport which was perfect!
We stayed twice, before we went away and after we came back, the first time was good, rooms are basic enough but have everything you need! Comfy beds definately. But make sure you don't get a disabled room if you do not need it. We were handed a disabled room, and stupidly didn't ask to be moved because we were too tired for a fuss after the flight. But this meant a really shallow bath, a shower that didn't work after a certain height, and a very strange layout of a room. We are a young couple, and to put us in a room like that was confusing and slightly annoying. However we could have asked to be moved, but like I said above we were exhausted after travelling for so long. Overall, a good stop off hotel, 5 minute walk from airport and friendly enough staff. Just make sure you get the right room!

staff training needed

Posted 17-Jan-2015
Pros: location
paid for parking at airport with room - given totally wrong information of how to get out of carpark which caused problems and delay on exit
