This country house provides 3 star accomodation at affordable prices, and the warmth and comfort that comes only from a french welcome.It's tastefully decorated guestrooms large and elegant furnish comfort and style.
The twenty eight bedrooms are separated into two buildings.
The first contains sixteen bedrooms overlooking the Martroi square.
The second contains twelve bedrooms. It has just been entirely reconverted, redecorated and climatised. All the rooms have a television.

“A nice find”
The location is perfect. In the middle of a quaint town with narrow cobbled streets, right on the main square. Parking is good, there being a court yard within the hotel. A stroll to the Loire takes about 5 minutes .... all very scenic. The room (deluxe) was large and a bit 'rustic' ..... wood beamed ceiling, but no shower curtain. The air con was effective and most welcome. The highlight of the brief stay was dinner. The set menu provided 5 courses and one of the best meals we've had for ages. Service in the restaurant was excellent. The lowlight of the stay was breakfast. At a similar price that you'd expect to pay for full English in a UK hotel it was not good value for money. Staffing level was low so you had to wait for table clearance, fresh coffee etc etc. Also, the choice of food was limited to breads, eggs and cereal ... no fruit. I'd advise skip breakfast and go to a cafe in town. However, It was a good experience on the whole and much preferred to a modern high rise hotel.
“Hotel Ecu de Bretagne”
Séjour d'une nuit Chambre dans la partie rénovée de l'hôtel = déco très agréable et salle de bain très propre (et WC séparé ce qui est appréciable) Restaurant = menu gastronomique à partir de 24 euros = cuisine de qualité et service agréable (par contre déco un peu surannée mais tout à fait acceptable) De + hotel dans le centre (à proximité rues piétonnes) Et très calme

Tres bon hotel calme dans une demeure de caractere avec parking ce qui est important pour les jours de marché.
