“Location was positive”

Went to Parris Island for nephew's boot camp graduation. This hotel was closest to base. It's old an worn, but for 1 night it was fine. I would not spend a vacation here, but it worked for its purpose. Staff was nice, breakfast was nothing to write home about.

“Pleasantly satisfied”

The hotel was newer and well kept. Service was polite, slow at times. The breakfast was more than I expected, though not enough tables for everyone going to the Parris Island activities, since everyone got up early. But overall very pleasantly surprised and happy with our experience

“nice hotel”

We had two rooms and every thing went well. Teh pool and grounds were maintained well and presented a clean evironment. The only problem we had was that we started to smell a musty odor and could not figure out what it was, The last day we found that the a/c was leaking water on the carpet. I would have no problem staying at htis motel again

“Closest to Parris island”

We stayed here for my sons Marine Boot Camp Graduation- this is the closest hotel to Parris Island. I was a bit nervous about the 2 star rating and some of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised! Our non-smoking room on the second floor overlooked the pool. The room had recently been redone and was nice and clean. We requested a cot for a 3rd person in the room and it was delivered promptly. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We had to drive a few miles to eat, the Friendlys Restaurant next door was out of business, but it wasn't really a big deal. The pool was small but clean, but there was only 1 lounge chair! There were plenty of regular chairs with tables/umbrellas. We stayed 2 nights, the price was great, and it was just right for what we were there for- Parris island!!

“"bad water room floor are always wet"”

When ordering a room of non-smoking you my just get it but thr room also comes with a mildew smell, that one will be surprised with. the bed is very itchy so that you will need to take a shower; but then you will have to contend with the broken toilet bowl that drips all nite and sounds like a train if the air wall unit isn't running. so after your stay you will need a vacation some where not over this rainbow of bad dream.

“Good quality with a few exceptions”

Everything was fine except 2 things - the shower curtain had mold and mildew on it. 2) When we returned after a day out, someone had put a do not disturb sign on our door (no on in our party did it!). The room was not cleaned, however there was evidence that someone had been in the room - all the washcloths were gone, one hand and one bath towel were gone, and a cleaning cloth was on the sink counter!). The man at the front desk basically told me that we had put the sign on the door!! He gave us fresh towels but no hand towels or washcloths! I reported this when we checked out and the girl at the front desk was much more compassionate! Other than these 2 things it was fine for a short stay and very convenient to the Main Gate of Parris Island. Unfortunately, the Friendly"s restaurant that is right across the parking lot has closed!

“Not a good experience...”

We just returned from a house-hunting trip in Beaufort and stayed at this Days Inn for 4 nights. What a mistake. The first room we stayed in smelled like a cat litter box- very musty and dirty smelling. The bathroom smelled even worse. Paint was chipping off the ceiling and the floors were filthy. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation and fresh paint. After our second day there (and still no improvement in the smell of our room), we asked if we could check out early in the hopes of moving to another hotel. Unfortunately since we made the reservation online through Expedia, they wouldn't let us out of our reservation. (Plus there was a Marine graduation at this time, so most hotels were booked up anyways.) The front desk gave us a bottle of Febreze, but it didn't really help. They finally let us switch rooms. The second room was better in terms of odor, but still smelled a little musty. We've always had pleasant experiences staying at Days Inns in the past, but I would not recommend staying at this particular one.
