“COMFIEST BED EVARR!”

Stayed at this hotel the night of Nov 25th. Received a whirlpool king suite and the King bed was the most comfortable bed my husband and I have ever slept in. We didnt want to get out in the morning! The whirlpool was fun to have and decently priced. All the finishings and furniture in the room were fairly new and looked very nice. I would definitely recommend.

Area recommendations

Bay Street. We ate at the Saltus River Grill, a waterfront restaurant, next to an open fire pit at sunset. Was very romantic and great food!

Getting around

The area is not labled well at all and very poorly lit. Therefor we had a lot of trouble finding places at night, got lost, and made several wrong turns. And we are pretty good navigators otherwise! Bring a GPS!

“Mostly Good...with a few minor setbacks”

The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The pool was small and the water was green; and the hot tub is permanantly disabled. The breakfast was so-so.

“Marine graduation ceremony, probably won't be back.”

The staff was friendly and helpful, if I were returning to the area I would definitely Stay here again.

“Definitely recommend”

We went to SC to attend Family Day and Graduation Day at MCRD Parris Island. The hotel staff was very polite and accomodating and the rooms were clean and quiet. Free breakfast was good and served early enough for people going to Parris Island. Restaurants within walking distance. Had no problem getting on the lobby computer to print our boarding passes for our flight back. Would definitely recommend.

Getting around

We used Point Limo service from Beaufort, SC to get from Savannah airport to our hotel and back and forth from Parris Island. They were on time for every pick-up and we didn't have to wait in any long lines of traffic getting on and off Parris Island. On Graduation Day they let us leave our luggage in the van and took us straight from Parris Island to the Savannah airport. Excellet service! You can pay the drivers up front or on a daily basis. Cash only. Once on Parris Island, there is a lot of walking around. Most people were walking. We didn't see too much traffic on base. Once people found a parking space, they didn't want to lose it.

What to pack

We were on Parris Island in mid-February. We are from NH and figured we could handle the chilly weather, but we were still cold on Parris Island especially Family Day when it rained. Make sure you bring a blanket to sit on for Graduation Day - the metal bleachers are cold!

We ordered our Family Day lunch from Pizza Inn. They did show up at Parris Island 15 mins later than they said they would, but we had no trouble with our order. One family did have a problem with their pizzas getting delivered and had to wait and take what pizzas were left over.

“Enjoyed the stay but not the pool”

The staff was helpful and courteous. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the lady working it was WONDERFUL. The view from our room overlooked a rough looking used car lot. Can't be helped by the hotel itself, but definately an eyesore. We chose this hotel because of the indoor pool. Our 6 yr old has been wanting to go swimming. The pool was FILTHY!! We itched all over from it as well.

“Dont Stay @ Country Inn!”

dont let the outside of this hotel fool you PLEASE DONT STAY HERE! you will be dissapointed, we UPGRADED OUR ROOM AT OUR COST and it smelled like mold BAD the bath tub was sick , the vents were covered in dust and the bathroom had "hairs" everywhere and a broken vent that was hanging off the ceiling , when we complained the SUPERVISOR just blankly stared at us. didnt offer anything! , and on our way out she didnt even glance or say a friendly bye or sorry. the NEXT DOOR hotel had a huge sign that said " we have CLEAN rooms" should have stayed there or anywhere else! please dont waste your money or just stay our of beautfort becuase its a dead town. dont waste your time, they have no chucky cheese or anything for kids... dont trust your GPS down there - dont go to the North St aquarium , it doesnt exsist ....

“One of the nicest hotels we have been in this past year.”

Great hotel, great service and great shopping and restaurants close.

We stayed there for my sons graduation at Parrris Island. I would recommend this hotel for other parents. My parents, my inlaws, sister and brother in law, and two nieces also stayed here. We were located by eachother which was requested. Everyone was very satisfied with hotel and rooms.

“Close to Parris Island”

The hotel location to Parris Island to see the Marine Corp graduation was very good. The internet connection they have in the lobby never worked for us, so we were unable to check airline schedules or movie schedules, etc. But the front desk staff was very helpful in getting us the information we needed. The hotel gives you the Beaufort Gazette for free in the breakfast room. Make sure to pick up a copy of Thursday's paper. They print a very nice section on all the Marine Corp graduates for that week.
