“very impressed”
We stayed at this hotel for hotel for the Marine graduation in November. The location was just a 15 min drive to the base. It was in walking distance to a quaint center of town, right on the water. The staff were very helpful. Nice breakfast each morning. This was moved up an hour early to accommodate the guests for the graduation. The room was recently painted, very clean, updated. Would stay there again.
“Weekend getaway”
This was a nice hotel right across the street from the river and within walking distance of downtown and historic areas. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had. Our only complaint was that the walls seem to be nearly paper thin. We could hear the people next door to us, particularly when a small child was present. Thank goodness everyone went to bed as early as we did!
“It has to grow on you”
When we first arrived I was disappointed. I tried to get online and then found out that they didn't have wi fi. I was able to use the computer in the office however. The breakfast was average. Better to go to Blackstones, the best (only) place in downtown Beaufort for breakfast and it was a real treat. The location is what makes this place passable. After a couple of days we had done everything that there was to do in Beaufort, (smaller than I thought) and although we had reservations for one more night, decided to head on home to Murrells Inle, Sc where you didn't have to go on a long search for a good resturant.
“What a beautiful place!”
A beautiful old hotel full of charm and convenient to Parris Island.
“Came by boat for the weekend.”
We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Best Western. The room was up to date and very clean. The staff was great and did a superb job. The complimentary breakfast was first class.
“Great location”
We stayed at the hotel and were extremely satisfied except for the fact that the beds were supposed to be 2 queen sized beds and the beds were only full sized beds.
“Will stay there every time I'mm in Beaufort.”
The location was perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast area and meeting some of the other guest. We have already told our friends about it.
“In the Heart of Beaufort”
The BW Sea Island Inn is conveniently located in downtown Beaufort, across the street from the waterfront park. Our room was on the second floor front, so that the door faced the marina. Unfortunately there is no window to take advantage of this view. The only window looked out over the rear of the building. The room featured a small refrigerator and microwave, flat-screen cable TV and a nicely fitted bathroom. Complementary bottled water and toiletries were provided. Breakfast was served right below us. It featured coffee and tea, orange juice, scrambled and boiled eggs, cold cereal, toast and a few baked goods. Beaufort is a classic southern town with plenty of atmosphere and a plethora of excellent restaurants. A 5000-acre state park with a nice beach is just a few minutes' drive. Savannah is less than an hour, and Charleston just a little over an hour. Nearby Hilton Head offers a wide choice for compulsive shoppers.
“Parris Island Graduation”
We went to South Carolina for my son's graduation from Parris Island. Although we were very busy during our stay the hotel was great. The hotel is right by the water and has a great view. It is really quaint looking. The area has many trees filled with Spanish Moss and is what you would be looking for in South Carolina. The breakfast is in a separate building and is really nice. I would love to go back when we had more time to explore.
“Beaufort”
You've gotto go, (but not too many of you)
