“Great value for the money”

The price and location was awesome! The hotel staff was courteous and friendly. The hotel is right across the street from the mall, every major store you'd need for shopping, or anything else was on the same street. Walking distance to great restaurants. The only complaint I had was that this is a two story hotel and there's no elevator...so if you have heavy bags be sure to request a room on the first floor.

The Fred Bridge is a definite must see at night...daytime doesn't do it any justice.

“It's a pretty good hotel for the price”

The hotel, property and room is very nice and clean. It's too bad I had a neighboring room the first night that must have been having a drunken party with friends banging on walls and screaming all night until 6:30am. The following night these annoying people checked out and the hotel was much better. Ample parking and it's well lit.

“Rude! No hot water, hangers, coffee pot, cutlery, plates, lamps, dresser to put clothes.”

Had 2 night reservation. This was a nightmare! Was told by front desk to go out to Dollar store and buy hangers as none were provided.Noisy employee next door all night. No Rest All Night! Waited 20 minutes for running water to heat up. Front desk hung up on guest - told do not call again when guest called about early checkout. Receipt for early checkout given in protest. Came to lobby in his Underwear, Picking his Nose! We mentioned not paying for second night - he said get an attorney. He then lies to Expedia saying we stayed 2 nights. We provided documentation to Expedia indicating our checkout 1 day early. Expedia may want to rethink their contract w/ hotel - does not represent them in any professional manner. Hotel is brand new, but no accommodations from mgt., and no ammenities the average traveler would expect at an extended stay hotel - such as hangers!

Area recommendations
The area/neighborhood was not the problem with this dreadful experience. The proprietor was rude, unprofessional, and unaccommodating. The 'extended stay' hotel was anything but! The traveler would have to supply themselves w/ all regular ammenities (cutlery, plates, hangers, coffee & coffee pot, somewhere to place clothing). This is a traveler's disaster. Would rather sleep in rental car than repeat this catastrophe.

Do not stay at Hometown Suites, Baytown, Texas.
