Great staff. Friendly and able to help in English. You can walk to town in about ten minutes but we had kids with us and driving was easier. A great pool for the kids. Lovely breakfast. Highly recommended.
This is a great little hotel just blocks away from the cathedral. Staff is very friendly and the owner is American friendly so on the great buffet they also have American style eggs and bacon. Typical small European hotel, but great for the price.

"Great Price,Clean& the staff is very accommodating"
I booked a tour in Normandy for the 5th and 6th of June. I decided to book a hotel close to the embarkation point. I found this hotel. The reviews met my criteria and the price was right.
I came back my first night just as the restaurant closed. I asked if I could get served. They checked with the chef and voila! I was seated and served. The dish was fantastic.
This is an old hotel and you can expect the rooms to be small. That was the case. One problem I had was the shower curtain. No matter how I positioned it, water still made it to the floor. Once I stepped of the floor mat and slipped and almost fell. Not good.
It is a short walk from the embarkation point and I would stay here again.

Overall stay was lovely. Dinner was amazing, & our waiter, Stephen was superb. One miner problem was a broken shower that kept falling off & hitting us on the head. It was not fixed after we notified them. one management person was pretty abrupt, especially with a waitress, but the rest of the staff were impeccable! Would definitely return.

If you're looking for a place to stay on the cheap to visit the area, this place will fit the bill. There's nothing overly amazing about it, but it's tidy and clean. There's no good air floor or air conditioning so be sure you don't mind the heat!
Situated 9 kilometres from the English Channel, Bayeux survived the Battle of Normandy largely intact, retaining the look of a traditional Normandy town. Its most famous attraction is the Bayeux tapestry, a 70-metre embroidered length of cloth depicting the 1066 Norman conquest of England. The tapestry, listed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register, is displayed in a museum in the town centre.
