It was a lovely stay, there is hardly anything negative to say. One thing though, that we expected from a four star hotel is free WiFi rather than having to pay €20 for ten hours.
On a smaller scale, the noise that the outdoor furniture on the balcony's made was quite noisy, however unless you have someone above you using this in the eve there is no problem at all.
Nice breakfast, prosecco was included and tucked away around the corner. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great place and lovely location would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The hotel price was low and the room was basic but clean. The hotel is situated 8 min drive from Stresa and you need a car to reach the sites at Lago Maggiore. No AC in the room and a small shower.Price includes continental breakfast. Special price for dinner at the hotel restaurant.

We spent four nights in this hotel as part of a driving tour around Europe. The location in the middle of Baveno is wonderful, especially with plenty of parking on site. The room is practical rather than luxurious but it suited us well. Very clean and spacious, with a balcony that really did overlook the beautiful lake. Breakfasts were typically continental type with sufficient fresh foods provided. Staff were friendly and helpul. We would be happy to go back.
First time in Baveno, not knowing what to expect hotelwise. Pleasently surprised with the hotel. We had a lovely room over looking the lake. The service was of a high standard. The only slight disappointment were the breakfasts as no cooked items were provided. There also could have been a variety of cheese. The hotel is near the boat station.

As this is a family run hotel we were made to feel really welcome and check in was excellent with lots of local information and attention to detail. Our room had a view of the church as opposed to a view of the lake - which we actually preferred as the week we stayed was very hot and the room was lovely and cool to return to each day. Breakfast is adequate although not much choice but presented well and of a good standard. The restaurant food in the evening was great - although we stayed on bed and breakfast option we ate two evening meals in the restaurant, this was only because they only served until 8pm which was a little early for us - otherwise we would have used the restaurant more as the food was wonderful and reasonably priced - and the only one we found in Baveno with Air-Con - as must people seemed to opt to sit outside by the lake to eat.
The hotel is in a really convenient location, the bus from Malpensa stops almost on the doorstep and the boat dock is a 2 minute walk away - the train station isn't that much further about 10 minutes - but it is a bit of a climb - which is only a problem if you have luggage - for day trips its fine. There is also a convenient supermarket just a couple of minutes up the road - so all in all really handy.
We will (hopefully) visit again someday! Sooner rather than later.

Lovely location. Road in front of hotel and railway line behind a bit noisy but not too bad. Ask for a room at the front so that you get a lakeside view. Staff very friendly, breakfast good. There could have been a bit more information in the room, for example how to operate the tv to switch from digital to analogue otherwise you can't get many stations. Also some information about the local area would have been useful. Overall, very good value for money.
