“Decent Value”

For the price, its not a bad place at all. I got a 1 night stay for cheap. It was a decent place to rest for the night. No frills, room was okay, stained sheets, hair on towels. Good, easy to find location.

“Basic room while on road trip. Low expectations met.”

Very basic room off of I-10. I wanted a cheap room and that is what I received. Beds were reasonably comfortable and A/C worked. No restaurants within walking distance.

Area recommendations

We ate at Chimes and it was good. Otherwise it was an overnight during a trip from Tallahassee to San Antonio.

“Will not stay here again”

A/C did not work well, room had an awful oder, shower was bad, just all together not a good experience, we will not stay at a Red Rood Inn ever again!!

“Only good thing was the Free WiFi”

From the start this was a bad experience. I called the property to ask for directions from the major interstate going through Baton Rouge and the desk clerk gave me botched directions twice. The third call in I asked if there was someone else who might know or if she could possibly look it up online. A)She was there alone and B) The manager told her she couldn't use the internet. So I called the national Red Roof Inn reservations number and the agent was able to provide directions so I found the hotel. When I got to the hotel - the desk clerk with no idea where the place she works was located was on a personal call and took several minutes to check me in. Bed was lopsided, shower wall was cracked, had to hold down the toilet handle to get it to flush, chair in room was dirty, no bathtowels in room (had to go to front desk for them) and the a/c was barely cooling the room off - not good when it was 100 outside.

“Won't ever stay there again!!”

Upon arrival, the afternoon clerk was pleasant. After entering the room, it was a terrible smell. Thank God my mother has always told us to take air freshner, tissues, etc with us when traveling. The sheets were dirty, bathroom had not been clean, nor was one bed cleaned properly. The night clerk did bring us more sheets and had a first hand look at the room. He couldn't believe his eyes. He did apoloigzed. I cancelled the rest of my nights.

Area recommendations

I ended up staying at Comfort Inn Suites in New Iberia. What a difference!! The room was clean, spacious, eco-friendly and smell great. I will always stay at a Choice Hotel from now on!!

“OK experience”

The room smelled bad and the beds were very uncomfortable. You get what you pay for. Service was excellent and very friendly.

“Service not so hot”

Nice room- no complaint. However , I requested a wake up call that never came nor was the advertised USA Today offered or delivered. Front desk people not great.

Area recommendations

The Red Roof location is convenient to the Freeway, but traffic in this area is fierce. Did not go far as we were leaving early next day.

“Great hotel for price.”

Good hotel, would stay there again. Room was good and clean.Only questionable spot would be check in.Greeat place for the price.
