“LOTS OF HISTORY IN THIS HOTEL AND THE VIEW IS FABULOUS..”
WONDERFUL, RESTORED HOTEL RIGHT ON THE RIVER...BEAUTIFUL VIEW AND LOTS OF CLOSE AREAS TO VISIT..
“Wished the rooms were quieter”
There must have a wedding going on because there was a large amount of noise all night. The band downstairs and people going in and out of halls. If your going to book a large wedding, then do not stick others in between their rooms.
“Baton Rouge Tradition”
We've stayed here for several years when traveling to LSU ballgames. Great convenience to campus....just straight down Nicholson. The rooms are very small with the bathrooms being even smaller. Never know if your bathroom has a shower only, or full bath. Before our daughter started LSU, she would always accompany us, but the rooms are not comfortable at all to share with your child especially sharing the bathroom with a teen-age daughter!!! Tsunami Restaurant...right across the street! On the plus side, great staff, always cordial, wonderful breakfast buffet. I will definitely stay there again, but we have found many other hotels in the area that we love!
“We had high hopes!”
We had high hopes for this hotel downtown Baton Rouge and it could be a good thing if Hilton would just put forth some effort. The room is mainly the disappointment we had. For the price of the upgrade, we expected something larger than the walk-in closet we were in. We also were suppose to have a view of the river. Technically we did if you looked past the throngs of people that were right outside of our window at the pool. We literally had people sitting 4 feet from our rooms window. Then there was no hot water, the thermastat didn't work, coffee pot was broke, and the alarm clock radio was on the fritz. Next time we try to stay downtown, think we will try other better maintained options.
“A recently restored historic hotel”
This hotel sits opposite the Mississippi levy in downtown Baton Rouge and was formerly known as the Heidelberg Hotel which closed in about 1996. It has now been renovated and reopened under the Hilton banner. The room I occupied was an odd shape and lacked a refrigerator but was clean and comfortable to Hilton standard. The staff were friendly and pleasant in the southern manner. The hotel lacks a foreign exchange service and there are no foreign exchange services for non local bank account holders in Baton Rouge at all. I would return to this hotel on return trips to Baton Rouge.

“Hilton Baton Rouge Downtown”
Nice hotel with excelent service!
“Will Be Back Next Year!”
The employees at this hotel are very friendly, courteous, and professional! Even in the midst of chaos with Mardi Gras - they were very nice! The hotel was booked to capacity but everything was very organized. The hotel bar and restaurant were great. The room was very clean and comfortable.
“Amazing night sleep”
Great Hotel. Wonderful Service and accommodations. I have a temperpedic mattress, which I consider the best, but the mattress at the Hilton was wonderful...great night sleep. Lovely room. Hospitable service and we truly enjoyed our stay. The front desk was very helpful and friendly and allowed an extra-late checkout.
“Beautiful river view”
All was perfect except a very, very small bathroom with a very, very, very small shower.
