The Blathwayt has dining throughout, be it in the 50 seater consevatory, by our 2 real open log fire places or outside on our heated al-fresco patio area ( with wonderful views , including Bath racecourse). Each giving it's own unique dining experience, something for eveyone.

“BLATHWYAT RESTAURANT WITH ROOMS NOT IMPRESSSED”

1 . NO HEATING IN ROOM AFTERNOON UNTIL 4PM 2. DIRTY DUVET COVER 3. NO PHONE IN ROOM 4. NO LIGHTING IN CAR PARK AT NIGHT HAD TO FEEL OUR WAY TO BACK DOOR 5. WENT TO BREAKFAST ON NEW YEARS DAY AT 9.00 RESTAURANT CLOSED NOBODY ABOUT UNTIL 9.35AM 6. WOULD LIKE TO SAY COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF THE FOOD WAS GREAT

“Mutton dressed as lamb”

After returning from a very unimpressive stay at this hotel, we checked out the hotel website to try and figure out just why we stayed there. Stylish rooms? Ours was small, poorly finished, with a claustrophobic en-suite. Stunning views? - can't say I find a view of a children's play area all that stunning. 4 star luxury? Having to reach your room by going through the door labeled GENTS, then negotiate a badly fitting stair door while trying to avoid a "gent" bursting for the toilet. I could go on, and on and on and on!!! If this place had been described as a Brewers Fayre style pub, with a few rooms upstairs, and a big car park we wouldn't have stayed there, but if we had at least we would have known what to expect.
