“Not impressed”
This hotel was very dissapointing as when you book a 5 star hotel you expect better .room was very small and had no tea making facility . Only good thing about this hotel was the location . I would not rate this hotel a 5 star only 4 star at best .
“a taste of luxury”
Excellent service Friendly staff Nothing too much trouble. Our room could have done with a little refurbishment of carpet and curtains. I would go back.
“Beware of the Room You Book at the Royal Crescent”
The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath is worn and faded. As this is one of the most expensive hotels in the Bath area I felt deceived upon arrival and seeing the room that had been assigned to me on the attic floor. So for the price of a 5-star hotel I ended up sleeping in the old servents quarters on the top floor. This hotel is dirty and in need of an intense renovation.
“Nice but too expensive”
The hotel was very nice and broadly as advertised. The view from our room was excellent. However, it wasn't really worth the very high price charged and there were a number of minor irritants which you don't expect when paying so much. e.g. the restaurant was full and the concierge misunderstood our resulting intention on where to eat, the spa was full when we arrived which meant my wife couldnt use it in the afternoon when we arrived so a major benefit of the hotel was lost, there was no minibar which I would have expected in a 5 star hotel charging these rates.
“A perfect balance of finesse and friendliness”
For my wife and myself, this was a long awaited opportunity to relax and be pampered. We booked a spa break, which included two nights in a "Classic" room (i.e. entry level), breakfast and lunch, and two one hour treatments each in the Hotels' spa. For us, the hotel was perfect. The room was more than we expected, the food was excellent, and throughout, the service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. We loved the atmospheric spa. Some of the reveiws we read before going were off-putting. The hotel is a historic building and has been furnished accordingly. It may not be the place for those who require push button everything and need to see their face in every surface, but if you would like to experience a little gracious living, I thoroughly recommend it. We hope to return soon.
“Beautiful setting”
This was our first stop in the UK and the staff was so attentive from the moment we arrived. We would go back there and recommend this hotel to our friends.
“Not Impressed”
Although room large and comfortable some of the furniture needed to be replaced or cleaned. We were in a garden room above the spa and the stairs leading up seemed almost seedy. The spa itself was smaller than I expected since it is marketed as a Spa Hotel. The bar and restaurant felt cold and uninviting.
“Beautiful hotel conveniently located”
The hotel is located in the center of the Royal Crescent and is within easy walking distance of the center of Bath. The facilities are first rate and extremely comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The only drawback to my room -- the view out of the window was blocked by the balustrade at the top of the building. At the rear of the hotel is a lawn and garden, and a separate building for the restaurant and spa facilities. This would be the place to relax and pamper yourself.
“Fantastic Hotel”
What a great place to stay. Location was fantastic and the welcome and environment was really special. The bed was amazing.
“Tolles Luxushotel fuer romatische Stunden”
Hervorragender Service, auch Muss nicht wie so oft fuer Extras wie Parken oder Internet teuer gezahlt werden.
