“Excellent Value”

Used this hotel as a base to both sight-see in Bath & shop at the Christmas Markets.It's location was excellent & the hotel staff both pleasant & helpful. Would definately use again.

Area recommendations

City Bus Trip gives an excellent overall view of the city & was interesting even as a returning visitor.

When to go

At the start of the Christmas Markets which have a good atmosphere & excellent craft stalls.

Getting around

The hop-on hop-off bus was excellent value. We used it just after our arrival to familarise ourselves with the locations of the places we wanted to visit & then used the hop-on/off service to visit the next day.

“Weekend Stay at Hilton Bath”

While arriving at the Hilton hotel I was a bit disappointed with the look of the hotel from the outside. It looks a little shabby and run down and could do with a touch up. On the other hand though while entering the hotel I was very please with the overall condition of the place. The hotel was within 5 minuets walking distance of the town centre which included the sites my girlfriend was keen on seeing. Roman baths, Abby etc. My big problem with the hotel though was the mattresses in the room were terrible. For starters the supposed double bed that I ordered was to singles pushed together, also they were very hard and we could hear every spring move with the slightest of movement. My girlfriend who is 5 months pregnant got no sleep on the first night (which meant I also then got no sleep), so that put a bit of a dampener on the weekend.

“Excellent location”

I visited this hotel for one night and was upgraded to a Plaza room, which was very comfortable. The staff were all very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

“Nice Bathroom in Bath”

Reasonably priced hotel. Rooms very nice and location excellent. Public areas a bit tired and breakfast mediocre. Staff were helpful even if some of them didn't speak english very well.

Area recommendations

Central Bath is great. Great pubs, bars and restaurants. Tons of history, not to be missed.

“Great Hotel and location,”

This hotel was booked independently as part of a birthday surprise for my wife’s birthday. We drove to bath and left the car in the secure NCP car park beneath the hotel for the duration of our stay, Hilton offer a once in once out ticket at a reasonable price. The Hotel is a 2 minute walk from the city centre and the major bath attractions. Such as the Therme Spa, Roman Baths, Pultney Bridge, Jane Austin Centre, Jamie Oliver’s Restaurant, Bath Rugby Club, Victoria Gallery and a huge variety of shops & Cafes' We booked the "compact" room and this was more than adequate for our short stay. The room was clean as one would expect from a Hilton hotel. Bath is a great place to visit and this hotel is the perfect place to stay.

Area recommendations

The city is fantastic, I cannot recommend it enough, we particularly enjoyed the Roman Baths and the commentary provided by Bill Bryson the travel author. The Food at Jamie’s (Jamie Oliver) Italian was awesome and very reasonably priced. There is so much to see and do!

“back to Bath again”

Wonderful location for seeing the sights of Bath. The room was clean and well furnished (except the sofabed which was not of the same quality, so sleeping a family of four in the room was a bit of a stretch). Breakfast buffet was very good and well worth the small extra cost.

nice hotel. newly decorated,very central and comfortable.

Area recommendations

walk up to Prior Park, a wonderful 18th pleasure garden just being restored. It has wonderful views of the town and a nice tea shop next to the Paladian Bridge. At the moment the lake is full of baby ducks, cootes and swans...charming.
