Staff were excellent to check in well, arrange transportation to city and ferry while resort is safe n relaxing but the bed mattresses were too old for good night sleep.The bedsheets were stained and itchy. Paid for third person but no bath towels provided though toiletries and ample water bottles were given. The room service was prompt and delicious but overpriced. Breakfast spread was wide but not up to scratch. Porridge was not replenished by 8.30 am while fried rice was undercooked. Disappointing IHG branded hotel !

It is one of the best family stays. The place is clean and the staffs are very friendly. The only setback is that the places I wanted to go for are atleast 45mins travel. The hotel is too far from Batam Center. But if the plans are near Sekupang area than this is recommended.

Poor stay in Holiday Inn-Batam
Transport to hotel was very uncomfortable, almost 20pax squueze into a 12 pax van.TV in the room is spolit, took almost one day to repair. Bathroom water intermittent cold and hot, floor was dirty, bedsheet was dirty. Toilet basin tap was loose. Condition was very bad. Will not stay this hotel anymore.

Even though Holiday Inn Batam Resort is located outskirt from the city, we were impressed with the serenity and spacious environment; whether indoor or outdoor. Unfortunately, daily room cleaning was missing during our stay. Morning breakfast is excellent.

Overrated and Overpriced Hotel
An IHG hotel- is an overrating for this hotel. I have submitted my full comments yesterday- don’t know why I’m getting this survey mail again. Only good thing about this hotel is its staff at all levels are very pleasant with good attitude. But the property needs a major makeover and refurbishment to retain its IHG standards. I booked this hotel just for its name but flopped miserably.

When we checked in I was told that I didn’t have breakfast which I did and ended paying an extra 6000000 rupiah for it. Also I requested for a queen sized bed and got twin beds. I tried to change but was turned away.

Christmas at Holiday In
This is a family hotel and it’s 30mins away from the town. There is no beach near by. The hotel is old but it’s well kept and clean when we checked in. However House keeping is not consistent and cleaning was not done well. Floors are not mopped and some days they don’t provide any drinks. During peak days like on Christmas the buffer breakfasts was a horrid experience. So many people and food is always running out. Many details like plain water, jams and cleaning up the tables were not done. They are very under staff. Overall the staff is friendly.

Overall Good But toilet bowl problems
Booked 2 rooms and only 1 nite stay. Ferry now more expensive thus staying one nite is actually not worth. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room toilet system one cannot flush out properly the other toilet made a noise after flushed.

Great, but won't return for festive seasons.
Had a great experience with the seamless ferry terminal pickup and check in. The hotel staff are all super friendly and helpful. The only downside was we booked over the CNY weekend and the hotel and all the surrounding hotels had fireworks going off from 9pm-12am. Three hours of sporadic fireworks for both of the nights we stayed was not pleasant and definitely not what you want on a holiday. Seeing that it is also a family friendly hotel, I would think they would be more sensitive to children and early bedtimes. If the hotels could all just team up and have ONE display together it would be great. Great for a short getaway but definitely won't book a stay again during the festive season.

Clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Since it was peak period, the hotel set up an alternative service area for breakfast on Level 3 so as to manage the crowd. Housekeeping staff were honest and returned my wife's brooch when she dropped it. We also enjoyed the fireworks display over the CNY holidays. Everything is great. Kids loved the pool and kids' club! The only thing is its a little further away from Batam city.

check in experience can be better
When I checked at the reception, I was told me that I do not have breakfast for my stay and suggested me to buy their promo coupons. I bought but realised after that that I do have free breakfast in my booking and I went back to query. Another of the staff found out that it was indeed a mistake made and did a refund for me immediately. Thereafter I went to my room and realised that I am unable to open the room, I went back to the reception again and walked back to the room with a technician. The door is still unable to be opened. No choice , we walked back to the reception again with our luggages and waited at the lobby for them to reissue us another room. Although the staff did upgrade my room to a suite and the staff who made a mistake on the breakfast matter came forward to apologise to me, the overall check in experience to the resort was just not so pleasant. The room looks a bit out dated but the kids do enjoy their pool.

The free bus shuttle to Nagoya Mall is a given..however if they could have had 3 window schedule instead of two it would be good...we missed not one but twice the shuttle to Nagoya.
