“Good hotel in ideal location”

Hotel in good condition, with efficient and very helpful staff. Lovely room. Excellent location near town centre, beach and casino district. However, it was strange that bar closed at 9.30pm!!!! But good bars / cafes / restaurants nearby.

Fine beach....with cafes. Town offers much for the visitor...although can be a little expensive.

“Fantastic value hotel, great location!”

Really enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Biarritz Centre Plaza and was surprised by the comfort and quality of the hotel for a 3 star rating. We could not fault the cleanliness. Breakfast is pricy, so visit the cafe behind the hotel or the brasserie in the square and get a nice breakfast for a fraction of the price. The location was brilliant and the bus stops are 30 secs walk away + you are right on the seafront.

Traveller's tip
Visit Bayonne. You can take the bus and the journey will take you through the local area and is about 30 mins. Lots of lovely shops and restaurants. St Jean du Luz is also worth a visit. You can take a coach (once per hour so check the times). It has a lovely beach and plenty of seafood restaurants.

“A proximité de la plage et du centre ville”

J'ai séjourné pendant 7 jours dans cet hôtel et j'ai apprécié le cadre suranné et l'ambiance art déco. L'hôtel est situé face à la Grande Plage et au coeur de Biarritz. Derrière l'hôtel se trouvent les principales lignes de bus : très pratique pour ceux qui ne veulent pas prendre leur voiture. Seul bémol, j'étais accompagné de deux chiens et je regrette d'avoir du payer 72€ en plus.

Les halles et ses produits locaux à tomber par terre.

“Dommage”

Tout serait parfait sans un service de petit-déjeuner indigne : attente interminable pour un café (une famélique et unique machine pour tout le service ...), "amabilité" très douteuse quand on vous amène l'addition et que l'on exige en aboyant votre numéro de chambre et votre nom quand vous dites que vous séjournez à l'hôtel.

“Good start in Biarritz with Mercure Biarritz Centre Plaza”

Good hotel with helpfull staff, situated near all tourist hotspots in Biarritz. Although in the center it is a 12 min. taxi drive away from the central station.

Area recommendations
I recommend a walk through the Central Beach area and the enjoyment of a drink at the Casino where you have a perfect view on the surfschool activities.

“Hotel très bien situé de tout”

Hotel très confortable ; très bon accueil . On a tout à proximité : la plage , le casino , l'office de tourisme , les transports en commun , les boutiques et les restaurants !!

“Hôtel central a Biarritz”

Hôtel bien situe et propre. Impossible de régler la température de la chambre, il faisait très très chaud!

“hotel plaza biarritz”

Bien situé - accueil agréable - Service du petit déjeoner correct à l'exception du vendredi où on nous a demandé 3 fois ce que nous voulions et nous n'avions même pas de petite cuillère!!!

“Hotel de style au coeur de Biarritz à 2minutes de la plage, vue sur mer (certaines chambres)”

Bel hôtel de caractère tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur . Idéalement placé en centre ville et à 2mns de la Grande plage. Grandes chambres doubles bien décorées avec belles salles de bains bénéficiant d'une double fenêtre. Equipements très corrects. Même les chambres pour 1 personne sont vastes (mais SDB sans fenêtre cette fois-ci). Bar/salle du petit déjeuner très agréables et confortables avec vue sur un bout de la Grande plage. Pour les chambres avec vue sur mer, au premier plan se trouve le beau casino rénové des années 30. Double fenêtres permettant une bonne isolation phonique. Paliers et escaliers de caractère toujours dans le style années 30. Accueil professionnel et disponible. L'on aurait aimé un petit déjeuner plus étoffé en choix. Terrasse sur trottoir (mais large) agréable.

Tout le pays basque, tant espagnol que français. Pour la côte (ou presque) : Bilbao, San Sebastien, Mundaka (pour les surfeurs) en Espagne, St Jean de Luz, Guethary, Bayonne en France. Pour l'intérieur, achetez un guide : le pays basque regorge de villages magnifiques. Pensez à St-Jean-pied-de-Port en France, à Pampeplune en Espagne avec sa fête de la St-Firmin, à la "semana grande" à San Sebastian. Il y a tout le temps et partout des fêtes aux pays basques en été. Pensez au "jamon serrano" et aux "pintxos" espanols et à la cuisine basque en général !
