“Old World Charm in Bayonne, along the Adour River”

The Hotel Loustau is a charmer- and in a perfect spot, at the edge of the Adour River. The rooms are simple, but so very reasonable, and clean and comfortable - and the views are breathtaking. Bayonne has a great feel, and it is easy to walk to wonderful restaurants and shops. The staff at the Loustau was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant there is a little pricey, but very good. I enjoyed my stay here and will very likely return.

Area recommendations
Bayonne is filled with beautiful views, friendly people, delicious foods and interesting shops. The service and general feel of the town is friendly. Must see: the Basque Musee (Museum).
When to go
Autumn is a great time, although chilly, the air is clear, and the temps are comfortable for walking.

“Nice hotel near train station.”

Nice, inexpensive hotel very near the train station. Our late arrival was handled smoothly. The room was clean and comfortable. Our breakfast was very satisfying. We would go back.

“Hôtel Loustau Bayonne - Très belle vue”

Accueil chaleureux. Hôtel bien situé. Très belle vue sur l'Adour et Bayonne. 2 reproches : la salle de bain à besoin d'être refaite et il n'y a pas beaucoup de place pour ranger les habits.

“Hôtel agréable, bien placé, chambres petite et un peu vétuste”

Hôtel agéable situé en bordure d'Adour face au vieux Bayonne. L'accueil est professionnel. Le parking de la Gare St Esprit est à 2 pas, il en coûte 8€ pour la nuit. La chambre est de petite taille, la salle d'eau aussi et elle mériterait d'être rafraichie. Nous avons croisé lors du copieux petit-déjeuner un états-unien corpulent qui a souffert de la taille de sa chambre. L'ensemble reste satisfaisant pour nous.

“Agréable”

Hôtel agréable, bien situé. Je garde juste une réserve sur l'entretien (ex impossible de prendre un bain car la baignoire ne retenait pas l'eau), cette réserve se base sur le prix de la chambre qui implique quand même un service de qualité.

“Très bon hôtel”

Très bien placé, le personnel est agréable et accueillant. Seul bémol, qui n'est pas du à l'hôtel lui même mais à la ville en général, il n'y a aucun moyen de stationner gratuitement.
