“Just got better and better”

When we arrived at the hotel (in September), we were so pleasantly surprised to find the hotel is in this great little plaza across the street from the beach. We had just reserved a standard room with a double bed. They must have upgraded us because our room had a balcony overlooking the plaza and ocean. The rooms are darling. We had just booked our stay for one night and we ended up staying three instead, we never wanted it to end. Since it was so last minute we stayed in three different rooms. All very cute. The hotel is very "beach cottage'. A nice change from either the drab european hotels or this overly modern look that is rather cold in my opinion. Everything about the hotel was great (especially the great little marshmallows on the front desk). We can't wait to go back.

“Little jewel in Biarritz”

Very clean and charming little hotel in the heart of Biarritz. Minimalistic style room but very spacious nonetheless with a very friendly staff I wish they had a deal with one of the local parking spots because if you have a car you need to figure out your own parking.

“Planning a return trip for next year!”

We stayed at the Hotel de l'Ocean for 2 nights and loved it! Location was great - right on the main town square - and had live music both nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable - ask for rooms 3 or 4 if you can - they have balconies overlooking the main square and the ocean. Staff were very friendly.

“Great location”

Cute hotel. Excellent location. Nice rooms but extremely small bathrooms. The staff was kind, and helpful. Great price considering its central location with views to the sea.

“Disappointing”

The hotel is situated in a very good location central to restaurants, shops and beach. It is alongside a church however this did not influence our opinion. The interior of the hotel was disappointing, decor shabby, door and lock on the room was not secure, shower facility was stained with mildew and uninviting, insufficient storage space in the room and noise levels between rooms and from the hallway outside excessive.

“Great place to stay in Biarritz”

I stayed in the Hotel de l'Ocean during a conference in Biarritz. I will recommend this hotel to anyone staying there. It is around a lot of the restaurants and stores and just a quick walk to the beach. Great place to stay!

“Great location”

Hotel has a nice boutique feel to it, the bathrooms are a bit sparse, but bedrooms are clean and light. Word of caution for groups of friends staying, none of our rooms were genuine twin bed rooms. All were doubles with a spare single bed in the corner/to one side.

“perfect location”

really made to feel welcome, even though out the night (no complicated key pads ) just friendly staff. we had an upgrade over looking the sea without asking as a kind jesture such an ideal location to visit Biarritz and easy parking under ground (not included in the hotel )well worth the money .
