Firstly,I wished I could have stayed in Ravenna longer..this charming, historical city has much more to offer than the UNESCO Byzantine churches with their marvellous mosaics. The rich colors, designs and symbolism is astounding. Hotel Byron is within walking distance of almost every recommended site or event. It is an easy, direct and picturesque stroll from the train station.
The staff were welcoming, friendly and most helpful, whether with a range of restaurant recommendations or directions and itinerary suggestions. The hotel is a budget hotel..older,compact and well kept. The room was spotless and quite spacious for a European single accommodation.I agree with another reviewer who stated that the presence of a bidet in the bathroom made opening the door and getting around to the sink a bit awkward..also,the light switch is behind the door at the sink..a minor issue. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure.Just watch the tiny step up from the room into the bathroom when you are half asleep at night! This hotel is right on a busy, narrow old street and just off a popular square..if you are a light sleeper,a room at the back would be better..especially if you want the window open. The included a tasty buffet breakfast which had plenty of variety and was well laid out. I was able to store my
luggage until I returned to the station. This hotel is an excellent value and I can confidently recommend it.
We loved being near the piazza. Hotel staff recommended a tour guide and lots of great information about the availability of bicycles and etc. They were very helpful.
The food was excellent as was the wine selection. There were ample outdoor tables for the bar and for dinner guests. I found the hotel to be extremely amenable and the pricing was fair. I would love to go back to Ravenna and stay there again.

This is an excellent apartment. With exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. The famous sites of Ravenna are in easy walking distance and if needed, the accommodation is well served by local buses. We had a super stay and the included breakfast is a welcome addition. We would thoroughly recommend this place for a visit fo the city.

The B and B was centrally situated in Ravenna, yet in a quiet street. Silvia was a real host, friendly, gererous and helpful. It really is a kind of home from home... and very clean, spacious and comfortable with lots of interesting artefacts around.
The hotel provided us with excellent, comfortable accommodations (and breakfasts ) and the location is excellent. However our stay was enhanced with a very helpful, English speaking desk clerk who could answer our questions and direct us, all in a very welcoming way.

The hotel was in a great location - everything we wanted to see was a few minutes' walk away. Yet the road was nice and quiet. Free use of bikes was a great boon for a cycle to Classe.
The staff were all fabulous, the breakfast was varied and more than enough of everything was available.
Our only minor quibble was that the shower was a bit feeble, but it had no negative impact on our stay.
