“Worth a visit”

Although a little way out of the centre of town, this hotel was very easy and quick to get to on the city's tram system (bus and tram travel is free for tourists with a mobility card issued by the hotel). It was clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

“Good Business Hotel”

The room was very spacious, clean and modern. Very comfortable beds, excellent bathroom with large walk in shower. The rooms were very quiet and had everything a business traveller requires. The staff were very friendly and the complimentary welcome drink was a nice touch. The breakfast was not the best and expensive. The location is not ideal for the pleasure tourist, requiring a bus and tram to get to the centre of town or for the energetic a 45 minute walk. The public transport is free though. Excellent shopping centre next door and good on-site restaurant.

“Basel Hotel for river cruise embarkation”

We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the docks as we were leaving on a river cruise. Location was great and hotel was very adequate. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

“Superb value”

Greatly impressed with this hotel. Very large room--and I do mean large--with well appointed modern styling. Free internet and that is unusual in a place like Basel. Not the greatest area of town, but there is a new shopping mall right next door and you are only 2 minutes from the tram or bus stop. I will look to stay here again next time I am back in town.

“Would stay there again”

I especially appreciated the free transit passes for the whole duration of your stay, free bottled water in your room and of course free internet - all great! And the trams are EASY to navigate so easy access to all of Basel, which is truly charming.

“Basel hotel stay”

The hotel room was amazing! There were two rooms with plenty of storage space. There were one & 1/2 baths which was so convenient for roommates. The second room contained 3 pull-down beds beautifully hid behind polished woodwork. Everything was very clean and sleek. I want to incorporate most of the plumbing and electrical ideas in my home renovations. The hotel is attached to a beautiful shopping mall and can be easily located on the map. Terrific attitude of the staff - overall wonderful experience.

“impressive new hotel”

We could not have been more pleased. It is an extremely modern hotel open less than a year. English speaking staff extremely helpful getting settled and also printing train schedules and giving directions. Rooms are large, comfortable beds and high end linens and bath products. There is generous storage space for hanging and folded clothes. There were 4 computers (no charge) in the business center for our use. Located near restaurants, shopping, and tram line , so you can be anywhere in just minutes. The hotel provides a free tram pass during your stay. It is a 10 minute taxi ride to the airport. I highly recommend this hotel.

“A great hotel in Basel”

I was very impressed with the hotel. The room was clean & bed comfortable. Liked the wet-room style shower. The shower towel could have been a bit more generous. Would have liked an alarm clock visible at night, otherwise no complaints. Breakfast plenty of healthy choices. The transport in Switzerland is second to none and the best of all it was FREE.

“Great for the price”

This hotel seems brand new. The room was very comfortable and the hotel is joined to a large shopping centre. But it is not noisy. The location is at the end of the tram line (number 8) and convenient to get back into the centre of Basel. The hotel gives you a tram pass for entire stay, so don't do what I did and buy a weekly pass. Just buy a single to the hotel. I was very happy with the price and quality of the hotel.

Traveller's tip

The bus (number 50) from the airport to the central train station is free if you show the driver that you have booked a hotel. Not sure if he cared either way, but apparently that is the deal. Then walk to the trams and catch number 8 to the hotel stop (can't remember the name, but it started with a K,and was long, and is the end of the line).
