“Good location, nice hotel!”

Good hotel with very friendly and helpful staff only a few minutes walk from the main centre. I would stay again next time in Strasbourg.

“Great hotel close to Zentrum”

I have been in the hotel twice and the renovation of the rooms has been great. Walking distance to the city zentrum. Breakfast is good. Definitly will go back,

Area recommendations
The hotel is walking distance to the main areas of the city. Walk the whole city, get to know the German and French influence. Bring lots of space in your media card for great pictures. Wonderful city Well worth the drive! I have been 3 times and never get bored of walking the city!

“Lovely hotel, staff, and area”

You will not be dissapointed with this hotel, reasonable priced, the suite we had was top notch, king bed with distinct living area, bath, toilet, and nice bedding, the breakfast is plentiful and fresh, the help is just that, helpful and friendly and eager to cater to foreigners and the location is a short walk to the heart of city or tram train. The only diapointment is we didn't know it was so close to the rail station we could have avoided the cabby driving us in a fake circle and walked or taken the tram direct from the main rail station

Events and shows
laser light show on the river in the evening is just a ten minutes from the hotel

“Summer in Strasbourg”

Very nice hotel within walking distance of most locations. Staff was pleasant and helpful. It would have been nice if the hotel had parking but they were very helpful with streetside parking, i.e. they fed the meters allowing us to be away on foot during the day. Definitely would recommend this hotel!

“Not a 4 star hotel.”

Stayed for a couple of nights, and the quality of this hotel does not get 2 stars. The rooms are very small, dirty, and the reception desk looks like the 70's. There are many other great places in Stasbourg...

“Great city, great hotel”

We stayed here for two days on our way to Frankfurt from Zurich. I read the reviews of this and several other hotels and decided on this one due to the high Expedia ranking. I was not disappointed at all. We had a great time at the hotel and the city. The only caution I would note is be prepared to have Euros in Strasbourg. Not everyone - particularly cabs, take credit cards. I would definitely stay here again. We walked everywhere and still would like a couple more days to explore.

“Hotel Regent Contades Makes the Grade”

Other than Internet wi-fi not working (due to service provider, not hotel issue) - it was a perfect stay. Clean, comfortable very, very spacious room. Concierge made two EXCELLENT dinner recommendation/reservations. Would highly recommend the location which was very convenient to Strasbourg center, public transit and great river/church views.

“This was our second visit; would stay again”

The Hotel Regent Contades was pleasant during our one-night summer vacation in Strasbourg. We first stayed during the Christmas holidays a few years ago. Then, the fireplace was crackling and guests gathered in the lounge for something to warm them after the chilling walks through the city. Our summer visit was very nice too; breakfast more than adequate. We did have a reservation made through the hotel at our favorite restaurant in Strasbourg (Le Picobello) but when we walked down to dinner found that the restaurant had a note on the door that they were away on vacation! We were terribly disappointed. If we had known, we might well have changed our itinerary a bit and revisited Strasbourg another time.

Area recommendations
Being nearer the river might be a fun place to stay, such as the Regent Contades sister hotel, the Petit France. We might try that if we visit the area again.
Dining
Definately try to get a reservation at Le Picobello. As a professional chef I have tried Foie Gras all over France, and none can compare to their in-house made. It is a sublime experience! Everything else there is amazing also.

“Hotel with French Flair”

The Regent Contades is a nice boutique Hotel. It is a short walk to the Centre Ville but far enough away to avoid the bustle. It is convenient to the tram line. the hotel staff is very accomodating. It is a hotel with a European style. Overall I would stay there again.

Area recommendations
This area is a 10 minute walk from Centre Ville which is close enough to get there but far enough to avoid too much bustle.
