“Great Tourist Location”
We had a very large, nicely appointed and very clean room. The beds seemed very hard and was very uncomfortable to sleep. They need to get quilted mattress pads on their beds! For a very old building, it is well kept and maintained and is a terrific location for seeing old town Strasbourg.
“Great Location Fine Hotel”
Basically I have no complaints about this hotel. The location was excellent. All the plumbing worked fine. I advise you to stay at this hotel.
“Great location, great value”
The location of the hotel was ideal, right near the cathedral and minutes walking from all of the attractions we wanted to see. The room was comfortable but we were on the fifth floor so it was loft-style. The ceiling for the room also doubled as the floor for the bathroom, which makes the room a little cozy but in general it's fine if you're not taller than say, 6 feet. (See the website for pictures of the "classic" room.) In this case, you'll hit your head on the shower ceiling and spend a lot of time ducking. No coffee or tea in the room, as others have noted, but overall, for the price we paid, we were very happy with the comfortable bed, friendly service, and unbeatable location. As the upstairs bathroom "door" offers only partial privacy, I wouldn't recommend a classic room for sharing unless you're pretty comfortable with the other party. Also, the stairs to the toilet mean that a very wild night in Strasbourg is inadvisable, and the fifth floor room is probably not wise for anyone elderly, a young child, or anyone who has problems with steep stairs. But for us, it was really great value and I'd happily stay there again.
“Room was simple but comfortable”
My daughter had been studying in Strasbourg this year so I stayed at Hotel Gutenberg while visiting her there. I was in the room very little, as we had a lot of visiting and sightseeing to do. The room was simple but adequate and the bathroom was surprisingly modern and nice! Though the decor was a bit sparse, the room was quite comfortable and very clean. The price was reasonable and the hotel served my purpose quite well.
“A recommander”
PARFAIT.
