“Back as soon as we can”
The staff was fabulous. Food was a little pricey... Srasbourg is a must on anyone's travel list...and this hotel was convenient, friendly, and upscale.
“The Hilton is all that it is cracked up to be”
The position is excellent, very convenient for the European Parliament, or to get tram to town. It is quiet and set well back from the main road. Everything in the room worked, and the ice machine at the end of each corridor is exceedingly useful in the summer. The staff are very efficient and attentive, particularly at the excellent breakfast, all you can eat. The rooms are large and the view is good from the third floor, over the adjacent green spaces and large buildings. I had to book well in advance and pay in advance to get it at the outstanding rate which I did, but it was worth the wait.
“ONE OF THE BEST IN STRASBOURG”
I have been to Strasbourg for 4 days each month since June 2004 and this hotel is one of the best. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the rooms are of a comfortable size with all necessary facilities. The restaurant is exceptional and fairly priced. There are good restaurants in the City Centre but there is really no need to hunt for restaurants in the city each evening, as none are better than here. I have never said that about other hotels in the city. The tram stop is within a reasonable distance giving easy access to the City Centre. The Sofitel and the Maison Rouge are also very good hotels in this city (booked via Expedia) for different reasons but I would not say they are better. A good choice and recommended.
“A great hotel in Strasbourg”
Excellent customer service throughout. Only blemish on the trip was that Canal + is not available on the bedrrom tv after a certain time.
“Great city and freat hotel.”
Everything was perfect, great rooms and service, 10 minute driving distance from downtown, convenient free parking lot across the street.
“Great hotel, expensive parking, small breakfast room”
Hotel is great, good deal for the price. But the parking is very expensive and the capacity of the breakfast room is not sufficient if the hotel is fully booked. Tip: Tickets for public transportation can be purchased at reception for very moderate price.
“Good place to stay in if you travel by car”
The Hotel is in excellent choice to people travelling by car. Its only 7- 10 minutes from Strasbourg city center. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. One of the best in Europe. There is an easy parking. In my opinion the charge is too high. Staff was helpfull but not so nice. In general its an excellent choice if tou travell with small kids
“A bit disappointing”
We stayed in the Strasbourg Hilton in Jan 2010 and were disappointed with what we got for a 4-5 star property. Although the rooms were well kept, there was no kettle or tea and coffee service in the room. Even in the Mercure and Novotel hotels we stayed in there was this facility. When I enquired I was told that this was for the more superior club rooms. I finally got a 'spare' coffee and tea service but the kettle was dirty with corrosion. We had breakfast included and this was very basic. The carpark area was outdoors, small and not free. To travel into the city centre, you had to walk a distance to the tram-stop. This is more a business travel hotel than for leisure.
“Price high for services received”
The hotel room prices were very high. OK. But then to not include any kind of breakfast, and not to include any internet access seemed "cheap" and "miserly" on the part of the hotel. Both breakfast and internet access were relatively expensive and especially considering the room price.
“A real hotel - give it a spin”
It is exactly what you would expect from a hotel with the title 'Hilton'. A tad expensive - you may wish to purchase your own bottle of water before arrival - but don't use the expensive facilities if you don't want to. Huge bedroom (big enough for any type of traveller), spectacular bathroom - it took a while to work out the shower, but once going it was great. Highly recommended.
