“Eh...”

It's a value hotel in an area with high costs for vacation stays, so don't expect much more than a bed. TVs are very old (and not in great shape), light fixtures have mechanical issues (both of the ones in the room I stayed in needed to be finessed in order to work at all), and the shower had intermittent hot and cold streaks. All that said, the staff was very helpful and attentive, the room was always clean and the beds, linens, and pillows were definitely acceptable. I've stayed here before and will do so again, I'm sure. You get what you pay for, and if cost is a concern and all you're really looking for is a place to hang your head at night (and really, that's what a hotel is for, right?), then the Days Inn is perfectly acceptable.

“Terrible, Better Off Staying in Your Car!”

This motel was so unclean I didn't even take a shower the next morning because I wasn't sure what was in the bottom of the tub. The decor hadn't been redone since 1979 and the headboard looked like squirrels had been chewing on it. When I checked into the room the temperature in the room was 56 degrees on a cold October night in Vermont--it took hours for the place to warm up to 60. The office stunk of cigarette smoke and the parking is impossible. They allow contractors to park their big trucks in their small parking area, many of them taking up two-three spaces. NEVER again will I stay at this Days Inn--I'll sleep in my car first. And to top it all off they charge BIG bucks for this really crappy room.

“Hotel from Smokers Hell”

Ever looked for Febreeze at 1am in Barre Vermont? Honestly, the stink in the room was so bad that I couldn't sleep. As the hotel staff locked the office door at 11 (before I got in, they left my room key taped to the front door), and the AC didn't work, I was faced with 2 choices....gag or go in search of something to knock down the stink. Hence the 1am drive around Barre which has no 7-11's, BTW. A few other facts: Mold in the bathroom. Tilting floors Grumpy front desk folk I ended up checking out a day early and driving to Burlington (40ish miles) in search of a clean hotel form my last day's visit. Not a peaceful respite from the sad (burial of my Father) weekend and I'm shocked Expedia would even consider using this place.

“Only one with a pool.”

The hotel is old and needs to be updated and cleaned. At the least they could get new sheets and comforters. The staff was accomodating. The plus was the pool and with 3 little ones it was much needed.
