We loved staying at Hotel Concordia. The rooms were spacious with lots of amenities for the forgetful traveller. Front desk staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Really enjoyed the nearby selection of cafes along with a ton of great dining options along a pedestrian-only street. Definitely recommend!

Bad experience
No idea how they are considered a 4 stars hotel Ants in the first room, asked for an upgrade, still ants but less, floor was not very clean and the decor is null - white walls and bad lighting, felt very cold and depressing. Service desk gave us 3 different prices, every time we asked again to a different employee. We went from 50 euros, to 30 euros, to 20 euros.... Really? Never again!

A/C didn't work, mini fridge so noisy it had to be unplugged at night and property is right adjacent to apartment building with people partying until 430 in the morning.

Dear Mr John, all the A/C's work the whole year as they work through a central machine, our A/c's are very silent and it could be that you didn't notice it working. On the other side, we are sorry to hear that there was people partying in another building, we are really sorry but this is something beyond our reach.

Nice, comfortable hotel. The staff was super friendly, and the room super spacious, much bigger than in other hotels I have visited in Barcelona. I booked last minute and it was available at a more competitive price than comparable properties. The location is fairly good - not in the Barrio Gotico, but pretty close to most locations, and easily accessible by subway too.

We enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly. In a good area for restaurants and coffee bars. Was about a 20 minute walk into city centre which was fine for us

Excellent hotel with that boutique feel about it and a nice modern reception area and rooms are modern and very comfortable with good air conditioning. I would most definately stop at this hotel again when I visit Barcelona again which is a fabulous city.

The rooms are perfect size and staff are very friendly. We arrived prior 3 o'clock; and our room was available. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The metro was very close to the hotel and was convenience for us.

Overall a lovely hotel, breakfast was amazing with loads of options and definitely worth the money. However, in our room, the bathroom door didn’t shut and our bed was not secure and broken in some way as it made noise at any slight movement.

We had a rear room which was good as we did not hear the traffic but we were unable to open the curtains as we were facing many flats which were very close and could see in. The window was difficult to open when keeping curtains closed. It would be useful to have instructions to use the aircon. However for the price it was good value for the location.

Hotel Concordia is a great location in terms of; the metro is opposite, its next door to the Pincho street, and easy access to all parts of the city, especially when taking the airport bus to Playa Espana. Hotel staff were really lovely and the breakfast was great value and lots of choice. Definitely go back.

Excellent location, very quiet despite being on a main street. Amazing selection of restaurants, bistros and all types of markets within a block. Metro station across the street and plenty of taxis readily available. The staff was wonderful; friendly and always helpful. The breakfast was great, nice selection and limited room service with reasonable prices. The only downside was that the rooms are somewhat sparsely furnished but manageable. This would be a top choice if we return to Barcelona.

Nice hotel great location.
We had a pleasant stay at the Concordia. We asked for a room at the rear as the hotel fronts on to a busy road. We didn't hear a thing and slept well. The location is excellent for everything on the edge of the Gothic quarter and Las Ramblas. Right beside is a street called Calle Dr Blai which has a tremendous selection of bars and restaurants specialising in Poncho's. One negative would the hotel could benefit from a freshen up but I would definitely recommend a stay here.

I planned to stay for a night but I extended another 2 days ! This hotel is underrated .. I’ll come back in my next stay in Barcelona ,staff are accommodating and helpful , breakfast is great , room is bigger than the usual rooms in most Europe , just an advice, ask for a room not facing the street .. though it’s not that loud , it’s better to have a room at the back side of the road since I’m a light sleeper . I still rate this hotel 5 out 5 :)

Pre Cruise Stopover
Because our Easyjet flight was delayed by 3 hours, we did not reach the hotel until 2.15 am. The night manager was welcoming and sympathetic, we went straight to our room, which was clean, modern and had a big walk-in shower. Breakfast was great with big choice of freshly cooked items as well as fresh fruit, pastries, etc The hotel let us leave our cases with them while we spent a few hours looking around Barcelona. When we returned the receptionist booked a taxi for us to go to cruise terminal. A brief visit, whch was fab, we would not hesitate to stay again!

The noise was very disturbing. Staff didn’t make any effort to change the location of our room. The mattresses of the beds were very old and didn’t have any firmness. The “extra” bed had a very uncomfortable decorative pillow. Not a real pillow to sleep on. Also, it’s the first time in my life where I check in to a hotel and they make me pay for my entire stay before I step foot in my room (as if I’m going to leave without paying). The tea/coffee kettle didn’t work. The directions given to us on 2 separate occasions were completely incorrect. It was a very expensive and unpleasant stay. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Noisy and warm
The room was on the first floor and very, very noisy. Every time people on the street walked past I was woken up. The soundproofing was poor. On a separate note, the room was warm and stuffy, with the a/c / ventilation system doing little to alleviate that.
