“Perfect location”
Great location, family room was great for family of four.
“Just ok..”
Stayed at Petit Palace recently and found the rooms quite cramped for a family of four. Our room was situated at the back of the hotel over a school yard where children played and screamed incessantly which did not allow for late a.m. check-out sleeping. They were really cute, however. Were not able to check-in early but were given late check-out privileges. All in all it was just ok and I was glad it was for only one night.
“Disasterous”
This was our second time staying at this hotel. We were looking forward to returning after our first visit a couple years earlier as it was a decent hotel in a decent location. Well, never has the term 'gone downhill' been more applicable!! Not just the service experience but the cleanliness and maintenance levels were the worst offenders. We were so disappointed after the positive experience of our first visit. The carpet floors of the bedroom were actually dirty - i kept my shoes on. There was mildew on the caulking in the bathroom and you couldnt touch the glass shower wall as it was loose and falling out. Everytime we needed something we had to ask over and over again. The worst example was that we had run out of clean laundry late in the 2-week vacation, and prepared a bag of clothes for pick-up and washing. Despite calling the bag was never picked up - leaving us in quite a jam. Never again will i make the mistake with this hotel. Hopefully others learn from our experience. Thankfully I booked with expedia, they were terrific in handling my concerns with this hotel.
“what a gal, Ruth!”
Extremely modern, the T.V. didn't work except for Spanish stations. The buffet breakfast was over priced. I liked the lighting system throughout the hotel, energy efficient. Great location.
“Need Better Beds”
The hotel was nice rooms compact but good, our room was at the back of the hotel and there seemed to be a sports area where kids were playing hockey at all times. The main point of actually writing this review is the bed, we went for 5 nights at a premium time and never got a full night sleep, after just 2 nights our backs started to sieze up and for a person in their early 30s this is not usual. Due to the lack of sleep after 5 nights we were tired and lay down on the hard cold marble airport floor which was comfier than the bed.
“wass impress with high tech hotel”
I like the hotel itself however there was no english speaking channels or newspapers.
“A little hotel in a big city”
The Petit Palace is a small hotel with a good location to the Rambla, just a nice walk. It is also close to locations where a traveler can access the hop-on, hop-off bus for seeing various areas of the city, and spending as much time in different areas as they wish. Barcelona is very large and spread out, and the Petit Palace is near the center of many of the tourist sites. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are ones close by, and for the weary traveler, who has arrived in the afternoon, walked La Rambla, and does not want to go out for a late dinner, the hotel will provide a very simple room service. They also have a breakfast buffet, in the lower lever of the hotel, which is quite sufficient. All in all returning to the Petit Palace would be a pleasure. The staff was excellent, as were the accommodations.
“HOTEL NUL”
“Noise Noise Noise”
We can't recommend this hotel to anyone! The room was large, but the bed were so bad that you will be suffering from pain all over. Not to mention the NOISE, you will be hearig every step, and shouting neighbor, smashing doors...etc. The Breakfast buffet was too poor! No pay per view TV either. Bathroom was OK, but with modern design, no privacy!
“Petit Palace BCN”
