“Great family break.”
The hotel was located out side of Barcelona but with easy access to both the airport ( approx 20 euros via taxi) and to the centre via the metro. The hotel breakfasts were expensive but locally well served by good restaurants. A bonus was the massive retail outlet close by. Overall a good hotel
“A good choice if a .little out of the way”
We booked to go to Barcelona on impulse and chose this hotel based on the good price and the apparent location. The hotel is quite nice but the pool is very deep (1.7m) so you have to be careful with young children. The hotel is quite convenient for central Barcelona and also for the nearby beaches of Castalldefels. The metro station is 10 minutes ,walk and can take you cheaply to either location. Having stayed in central Barcelona before it didnt make much difference being located further out although eating choices are limited in the evenings. However, there is a huge El Corte Inglese and Hypercor nearby so you can buy almost anything locally. The hotel staff were obliging and friendly, free Internet access is always a bonus! We didn't sample the hotel food as the prices for small children seemed white high. A 2 year old and 4 year old should net be charged at the same rate as a 12 year old in my book. Overall it all good.
“Absolutely worst hotel... Please avoid...”
This hotel is the absolutely worse hotel I've ever stayed. The service is worst ever. The hotel does have a modern touch but it is not maintained at all. The carpet has many stains, it practically stinks. The rooms are also the same story. On a very hot day, the a/c in room was so low - that it was melting hot inside. We did complain - the maintenance dept. told us that they can't do anything abt it... So my fellow travelers please avoid this hotel!
“Bad service/smelly hotel”
Our family with 2 small children needed an overnight hotel for early flight to NY. The breakfast was included but we couldn't have breakfast because the restaurant was open at 7:30am (we needed before that time). They didn't have a room service or box breakfast either. First, they promised to serve us coffee and pastries in the hallway but they didn't do it. They didn't give us a reason. Then, we saw that the restaurant was open but they refused to serve us because as hotel's personnel said "it was open only for special people" (plane crew). Since we weren't "special people" after long debate they brought us a coffee but no sugar and 6 small pieces of pastries. After another arguments they brought cereal for children. The evening before they supposed to have a buffet dinner at 7:30pm (all restaurants are opened for dinner at 8-9pm around that area) so it was a lot of people waiting but they only opened at 8pm! I thought to myself "what kind of service is that? And was "right" in the morning: "this is a bad service hotel!". Also, the entire hotel and a room smelled horrible whether it's from smoke or disinfection even though it looked clean and kind of modern. Surrounding area is nothing special. It's like a sleeping Barcelona suburb. It's not so close to airport either like others wrote. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
“Absolutely brilliant”
We were nervous of our first visit to Barcelona, worried about getting round with young children - we did not need to worry. The hotel is perfectly located (in our opinion), the staff all spoke English perfectly and very helpful about getting around. The pool is quite deep if you have young children but we would definately recommend and come back to this hotel in Barcelona.
“Really liked it, but a little far out”
We really liked this hotel. It was very clean, mattresses were comfortable, large bathroom, courteous staff. The only negative is that it is a bit far out. You have to be willing to drive in the crazy Barcelona traffic, or to take the metro in to town.
“Satisfactory for overnight near airport”
This hotel will serve if you want just an overnight stay that's near the airport. Otherwise, I recommend finding somewhere else. When we checked in and went to our room, we were surprised to find it had not been cleaned. The beds had not been made and the towels had not been replaced. To their credit, the staff were very apologetic, and gave us another room promptly. The hotel smells of cigarette smoke, and although it tries to have a smart, modern appearance, the dirty carpets and smokiness make it seem threadbare and worn. It's near the airport and the location is quiet enough for being in town, but there is nothing scenic or attractive about the surroundings.
“Perfect for overnight stay”
Having arrived late into Barcelona airport we wanted a reasonably priced, clean, conveniently located and family friendly hotel before moving onto our campsite. We got exactly what we wanted in this hotel.
“Great hotel for catching an early flight at Barcelona airport”
We needed to catch an early international flight and needed a hotel as close to the airport as possible. At the same time, traveling with 2 children we also needed a restaurant. This hotel has a nice pool the kids could play in in the evening, a good restaurant, and a taxi station in front! The reception staff speaks Spanish, French, English, and probably Catalan (but we didn't need that one...) and these guys were incredibly helpful and proactive. The room was like new. Only damper was the shower drain which was quite slow. Might need a bit maintenance there. Overall, well worth relying on for early flights. Exceeded expectations. (Not the best for visiting downtown Barcelona as the airport is farther away)
“Confusing check-in procedure”
After I checked in the hotel and shortly I entered to my room, another person was also assigned to the same room and opened my room when I was in the room. There was no privacy because my room could be assigned to other person !! In my group, another person got in the room and found that the room was occupied by other persons. Then she changed another room but the second room was also occupied by other persons. When she went back to the front desk, the hotel staff asked her to pay the price for a new room. We all had pre-paid reservations for non-smoking rooms. Of course, she refused to pay. Then she got another room. But she entered the room and found that it was full of cigarette smell. Until she got the fourth room, she could enter. For all these check-in procedures, we went up the room and went down to the front desk again and again. It wasted the time for more than ONE hour. Also when check-in, the staff told us it was free internet. When we checked out, another staff told that only wireless/Wi-Fi was free. Some of us used the land-line for internet so there was a charge. It was very confusing service. At check-in, the staff did not mention that it was free for wireless only. The service of the hotel staffs was totally unacceptable. They did not have enough training. They could assign the occupied rooms to other people. They also asked the people to pay again for prepaid reservation. It is a 4star hotel but the staff's service is like a ONE star hotel.
