Excellent BUT

Cons: Buy more sun beds
Location: Excellent for a stroll to La Rambles and the Gothic quarter. Eateries in abundance
This is a city hotel so you do expect to pay over the odds but unfortunately the Majestic took it slightly over the top !! Nicely situated to walk to most attractions or eateries. If you want to use the pool facilities a word of warning BE EARLY no the Germans haven't taken over but there are just eight sun beds - so definitely first come first served. The biggest asset of this hotel are its staff absolutely faultless !!!!

GREAT HOTEL, HOWEVER....

Pros: location
we have stayed in 5* hotels before, most recent one being London just a few days before we travelled to Barcelona, considering the price we paid, we did not expect the hotel to then want to charge us for having a cup of coffee in the morning in our room, albeit only 1 euro we found this unacceptable for a 5* establishment, we decided out of principle to pay more at a coffee longe next door, breakfast was not included either over 34 euros per person for breakfast, again we paid more than enough, I felt this should have been included, we were very wrong to assume this is standard..obviously not. Nice air conditioned room, aside from purchasing a couple of overpriced drinks on the rooftop terrace (that we expected) we just slept here, thats all.

Best luxury hotel experience.

My husband and I have stayed in a lot of luxury hotels - this was by far the best. The attention to detail and extra effort by staff was unparalleled. Our junior suite was fabulous.

Close to everything. Very posh and very comfortable. The staff will go out of their way to accommodate you if possible. The street noise is the only negative, but that is common.

Great location

Pros: The staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful.
Cons: The elevators were very small and sometimes there was a bit of a wait for them to arrive.
Location: There was high end shopping all around as well as great restaurants.
We stayed here for a week for a conference/ holiday. The rooms were small but comfortable, the bathrooms large with the toilet in a separate room- nice touch. It was only one block from both Casa Batllo and La Padrera and walking distance to Sagrada Familia, several Gaudi attractions. There is a nice roof top patio but the food and drinks here are very expensive.

Fabulous hotel for short break in perfect location

Pros: Everything, except bedroom quite small.
Recently renovated, luxurious hotel. Bedroom very small with limited storage, hence suitability for short break only. Beautiful marble bathroom with Bulgari toiletries. Excellent service. Lovely rooftop terrace with loungers, pool and bar. Superb location - we walked to all the main tourist attractions. Did not use restaurants, breakfast very expensive, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Prime site for a hotel

Pros: Hotel Majestic look after their guests especially if you are here on your 50th wedding aniversay, S
Cons: I asked where to get the Airport bus (T2)and how long is the journey, I was told round the corner 2 blocks and 45 mins, Wrong Catalan Plaza, 15 mins
Location: Centre of town, ideal for everything, easy to walk to beach, or all the important sites.
We booked the Majestic Hotel for our 50th wedding Aniversary and had 4 great days in Barcelona,we covered as much of Barcelona as time would permit. The restaurants down near the beach have the greatest variety of fish ( the road is about a mile long full of restaurants).The market ST Caterina is worth a visit all the produce is well laid out and the staff are all very smart, all the fish in the market restaurants are half the price of the normal restaurants, and you know they are fresh.

Location: close to 2 gaudi sites and walking distance to las rambles it is an ideal location
we enjoyed a great 3-night stay in barcelona at the Majestic! great service, location and view from the roof deck wow

Barcelona

Pros: Het hotel heeft een chique uitstraling en is zijn sterren zeker waard. Vanaf het moment dat je uit de taxi stap staat het personeel voor je klaar.
Cons: Het hotel is goed en heeft voor haar gasten alles wat je jezelf kunt wensen.
Location: Het hotel ligt centraal en op een mooie winkelstraat. Het oude centrum ligt op loopafstand en voor wie niet wil lopen de metro ligt bijna voor de deur
Inmiddels al 6 keer in Barcelona geweest waarvan drie keer in Hotel Majestic. Dit is een uitstekend hotel op een van de mooiste straten van Barcelona. De stad zelf is de moeite waard, een hele mooie stad met veel leven op straat en veel bezienswaardigheden. Wij vinden het een hele leuke stad om een paar dagen te zijn en te genieten van alles om je heen. Het metro netwerk is goed en geeft je de mogelijkheid om veel bezienswaardigheden op een dag te bezoeken. Met de openbaar vervoer kaart kan je ook gebruik maken van de bus als je niet met de metro wilt reizen.
