If you're short on time in Barcelona, and not overly fussy on your facilities, this is your choice. Located in the Bari Goti region, the La Rambla is also a stones-throw away.
It is true that this Hotel doubles as a Hostel, but they separate the floors, and we heard minimal noise. Next door they also own a cafe, which is convenient if you're after foreigner friendly food, which doesn't only comprise of HAM.
The staff in the morning were extremely friendly and helpful, with the staff at night being very unhelpful and feeling like they didn't want to be there. Save your queries for the mornings.
The rooms weren't overly large, but hey, you get what you pay for. You're paying for a great location here. When you're on holidays you don't want to be paying with "time". With your budget, choose a spot central to maximise your holiday experiences.

Just had to come and see these fantastic windows for myself. This is a totally unique hotel with a vertical garden all the way up to the top floor. Our room was minimalist style, all white with a large mirrored wall separating the bathroom. Everything was spotless and it was very quiet, didn't hear anything at all from next door room. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the main part of town but this is easily reached by the Metro which is a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We found the staff to be exceptionally helpful. The best part for me was the window in the room - I have stayed in hotels around the world and was blown away by the design. Would definitely stay in this hotel again next time we come to Barcelona - we had a great time and will be back.

Very friendly hotel from check in to any other staff we met. Very basic but everything you need from advice to toiletries and really close to train station. Had been upgraded to superior room so can't commemt on any other room. Had a balcony overlooking park and parrots in trees. Would recommend for a two maybe three night stay at a push. Easy metro ride to Rambles.
We appreciated the fact that this apartment was located close to the port as we were able to walk to the cruise ship facilities. Additionally it was centrally located within walking distance to fascinating sights such as La Rombla and Segrata Familia. There is so much to see and do in this city! Barcelona has become our favorite city to visit in Europe and this apartment was a perfect place to stay.
