“Superb Hotel, just a few minor hiccups”

Positives Excellent Hotel, rooms beautifully furnished bathroom fitted to extremely high standard. Very good location away located slightly out from the centre. Roof top terrace was superb, although you had to wait for waiter service.Staff were superb. Negatives No facilities for hot drinks in rooms, drinks were extremely expensive within the hotel bar, four times the cost of U.K. Would definitely recommend this fabulous hotel to others just some minor hiccups.

“Excellent hotel in Barcelona”

Villa Emilia is located in a more residential area than many of the other hotels, which makes for a quiet and safe location. The reception, bar and restaurant are all very attractively decorated and so are the rooms We just had a standard double, but it was more than adequate. The bathroom was plenty big enough, with a large walk-in shower and toiletries from Rituals. There is breakfast available, but apart from boiled eggs, it's continental only. There is a great terrace bar on the seventh floor which is open from 08:00 to 24:00 daily. We definitely plan to go back to Villa Emilia.

“Sleek and Classy”

This hotel was modern and very clean. It was located in a safe neighborhood,one block from the metro; 3 stops from Plaza Catalunya in one direction and a few stops from Plaza Espana in the other. Easy access to all major tourist attractions. Restaurant was pricy, but there was a coffee/pastry shop a few doors down for an inexpensive light breakfast. The neighborhood was not filled with tourists and had a quiet terrace with view and free computer access. The beds were a bit too hard and there was some noise heard through the walls, but all in all a good choice for a hotel. Probably not the best choice for a family with kids because of its sophisticate atmosphere.. We enjoyed our 3 nights there..

“A Gem of an Hotel”

From the moment we stepped into the hotel to the moment we left the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did not eat in the hotel, so cannot comment on the food, but if it was in line with the rest of our experience, we do not think one would find fault. Good location away from the hubub of Barcelona, but within walking distance to the centre (about 15 mins). The restaurants the staff recommended were excellent and ones we would not have necessarily found ourselves. We would certainly return.

“FANTASTIC HOTEL!!! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK”

Everything about this hotel is fantastic...Staff very helpful and friendly. The rooftop bar is a wonderful retreat after a busy day touring the wonderful city of Barcelona.. The waiters attend to your every need..The location is ideal you can hop on the metro or take a stroll into the centre.. Do not think about booking this hotel just do it....

“Excellent choice”

This hotel is affordable, charming, comfortable... we had great stay. Nothing to complain about. I would go back if I'm ever in Barcelona again. The metro station is just at the corner. The only suggestion I have to give is that if you are looking for a place near where nightlife takes place this is not the right option. This hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, around 20 min walk from Plaza de Catalunya and Ramblas

“Best deal in Barcelona”

This hotel is an incredible value! It's urban cool, modern, well decorated. This was our fourth stop in Barcelona and I have to say, no other place even came close. It's rare to find a hotel this good for such reasonable prices. It's a gem of a place! And the staff is superb.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Emilia. The amenities are of an excellent standard, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We liked the stylish modernist decor, and enjoyed facilities such as the roof terrace and relaxing in the first floor lounge area with our complimentary tea/coffee and pastries (available 5pm - 7pm each day). Whilst the Villa Emilia is not right in the centre, it is just about within walking distance or very easily accessible by metro, with a station very close by, and has the advantage of being in a pleasant and fairly peaceful location. Our room, which was at the back of the hotel, was very quiet, well equipped and comfortable, although one of us found the bed rather hard! We thought the breakfasts were good, if a little pricey, and we enjoyed a meal in the hotel restaurant on several evenings.
