“Very good transport links”

This was a nice modern hotel, easy to get to from the airport, and only four metro stops from the city centre. The room was good but small. The glass door to the bathroom, with gaps all round, was not such a great thing. The bar was empty and completely lacking in character.

“Not too Good for value of Money”

The room is very small, lockers cloth are very small and inconvenient. Though, location is good, very close to plaza de espanya and the metro stations.

“Confortables rooms”

good: - the room it's very nice (i had a queen bed room), comfortable, amazing pillows, big bathroom, everything was very clean -free mini bar! ok, no alchool but after a long day around barcellona it's very good to have water/soft drink for free -nice location, 2 min walking to Placa de Espana tube station (and magic fountain in the evening from 21 to 23) and you can simply walk to the ramblas (it's just around 1-2km) -all the staff is gently and polite bad: -the "fitness centre" is for free but is just 2 cyclette, a tapirulant and that's it...if you care about it -internet wi-fi is free just in the hall of the hotel, if you want it in your room you have to pay overall for a 4 star hotel, in this location, at this price i was very satisfied

“Great hotel, great price”

The hotel was clean, contemporary and the staff were very friendly (all front desk staff spoke excellent English). The rooms were on the small side, but for the price, it was a great value. Most of the interesting sights in downtown Barcelona were within walking distance, and the cab/bus ride to the airport or cruise terminal was only about 10 minutes. I would go back.

“`no regrets”

Ac vilamari is not a central hotel but it takes two metro stops to arrive to the center of attraction in barcelona.. Quality price its a nice hotel.. the best thing is the Free minibar that they update everyday (be sure to check if its updated)

Area recommendations

Ramblas and plaza catalunya are so noisy and interesting to visit but most importantly beware of pickpocketers

“AC Vilamari”

Brilliant Hotel and would recomend to anyone. Location a bit far away from las ramblas but can easily jump metro into town.

“Great hotel with the reasonable price!”

It was a nice hotel with relatively convinence location. Very close to the subway station. We arrived early at 8:00A and we were able to get into our room which was great. The room was small so we asked to change to a bigger room and we were able to get it without any trouble. My wallet was stolen in Barcelona and the hotel provided us with the different credit card numbers to call and even let me to use their front desk's computer.which was very helpful! So overall the I think the hotel provided us with a good service and the room is clean as well. Oh, almost forgot to mention, the refreshment in the mini bar are all free of charge. we forgot about it until the last day. So I wish the front desk mentioned about it when we check in, Only one downside is the bed is too short for my husband.

“Hidden Gem”

Vilamari was an excellent hotel. Only a few minutes walk from Espanya Metro, linking you to the city as a whole. Very close to Playa Espanya meaning bus links to airport etc are also very close. Hotel itself was very pleasant. Nice, tidy rooms although a little small. Would also mention the semi-transparent bathroom door. I'll leave that to you to decide if that's a good or bad thing! Reception staff were friendly although we did have some problems accessing the 'free wi-fi' in the hotel lounge. Free mini-bar was restocked daily and room was always made up with fresh towels daily. Excellent wee hotel in the heart of Barcelona only 2 metro stops from La Rambla. Would definitely go back should I find myself in Barcelona.

Area recommendations

I recommend Camp Nou tour for sure. Also found Playa Catalunya excellent, especially Hard Rock Cafe which was superb. For an extra challenge order Chicken Tupelos with extra hot Heavy Metal Sauce. You'll get value from your free refills ! La Rambla would be an excellent place if travelling with partner. Same applies to the very beautiful Marina area. For something a little different take the cable car to Montjuic. Exhilirating!! Finally, a trip to Jaume I metro and exploration of the Gothic quarter is recommended.

Getting around

Use the Metro. Could not be simpler (or cheaper)
